Yeah but their site and press release doesn't use this wording, it uses ->
Miner Wars is a 6DOF underground and space shooter played in a fully destructible environment and is a combination of single player story game and MMO. That sounds like broken english (single player story game and massive multiplayer online.) Wouldn't the correct wording be...
Miner Wars is a 6DOF underground and space shooter played in a fully destructible environment and is a combination of story based single player and MMOG. Wow, i guess this is my first grammar nazi post. Well it just irked me move along, just bored |

Also whats a MMO? Aren't these called MMOG ? It says "MMO shooter". So Massively Multiplayer Online Shooter. |

I have real doubts its going to be fun at all, 6DOF means Directional Aiming (left/right/up/down) - Directional Strafing (left/right/up/down) - Acceleration (Forward/Backwards) - Spinal Rotation (left, right)
Also whats a MMO? Aren't these called MMOG ? |

From this page:
Overview
Miner Wars is a 6DOF underground and space shooter played in a fully destructible environment and is a combination of single player story game and MMO.
Anti-Piracy
The game will not utilize any sort of DRM protection, nor activation code. To play the game you only need to download and install the package and enter your login/password. As the game interacts with our servers during the game play, we periodically check for suspicious users. The game isn't locked to your computer, so you can play it from home or work
So you have to log into the server and stay connected to play the game as an MMO only or single player as well? If it's just for the MMO I wouldn't call it DRM....but if I need an active internet connection to play single player as that page seems to indicate, I sure as heck would call that DRM. |

Alexander: Could they be the miners? Fred: Sure, they're like three years old. Alexander: MINERS, not MINORS. Fred: You lost me. |

That is why the word indie is written "indie". Its not really an odd take as we decided to take the project a little bit more pro with a possible publisher entering the project. This has not been deciced yet however and that is exactly why I have not mentioned it in the press release. Thx for your input guys it was a good observation.
