| I think you'd be happier with a Droid than a WinMo phone if you like to customize. You can't get anymore hackable and customizable than Android, and the screen on the Moto Droid blows anything away. |

But I like the more openness of it. I like to be able to easily program and hack the hell out of it.
Amazing, isn't it? Microsoft is the open one?
That's what I hate about Apple: they say "think different" but it's "think exactly the way we do." You are forced to use their hardware exactly how they want. They leave back doors so, if you use it otherwise, they can stop you.
WinMo has always been very easy to alter to exactly what you want. It was glorious back in the day. Now it's ancient and terrible, but it's benefits outweigh Apple's socialistic evil, in my opinion.
I'll stick with my BB, if only for BBM. |

Windows mobile does have a decent app store, now.
They have a huge catalog of back apps they need to get on there.
And yes I agree that Windows mobile has been getting better because of the iPhone. But I like the more openness of it. I like to be able to easily program and hack the hell out of it.
I also will point out, that I am dual booting my phone and also running android as well on it. I like it too. And I do not have to be worried about Microsoft or Google trying to sue me or put me in jail for that.
Plus the iPhone screen has a horrible resolution and color depth. My phone (Tilt 2) has a larger screen, higher resolution and much more color.
Plus, it has more then one damn button and has a full qwerty keyboard for fucks sake!
But I am not against iPhones for say. I just like being able to tweak and customize the hell out of my shit easily. I do not like being told to do this, and only this.

| With no decent apps store, it's doomed to fail. WinMo 7 is pretty, but it's 2 years too late. |

| The iPhone really was a whole new generation of smartphone and WinMob7 is MS's latest attempt to catch up. I'm not at all keen on the iPhone (no Multitasking, App Store moderated) but compared to previous smartphones, including WinMob6, it was a kick up the backside. I had a Symbian phone, a Nokia N95, and upgrading to a "post iPhone" smartphone was a whole new experience. My phone has Android 1.5 now and will be getting 2.1 in a few weeks, apparently. Yay! |

They have had 'awesome' changes for one reason - iPhone. If Apple had never gotten into the game, Windows Mobile 6 would have been the last release and anything mobile for Windows would have been a pipe dream...I don't say that to knock you Enahs, just a reality check is all...

Yea I've played some pretty damn fun games on my nephews Ipod Touch, so this does have potential indeed.
Personally I'd much rather have a smart phone with windows 7 on it than the overpriced under performing crap from Apple. |
