If the revenue doesn't warrant a dedicated PC team then simultaneous release dates are very hard to make. You basically want them to release at the same time with PC-centric features and options despite the revenue not being there for most ports to warrant that.

You can basically choose between release date and quality, few developers can get the budget necessary to do what you're asking because publishers aren't seeing a lot of money from PC ports, plain and simple.

I'd also point out that Dead Space was one of the top pirated games last year but that would open up a new can of worms and god forbid you ever admit any responsibility for your actions
