Theatre of War 2 Kursk 1943 Demo

A playable demo is now available for Theatre of War 2 Kursk 1943, Battlefront.com's World War II strategy sequel. The English-language demo includes a tutorial mission, the mission generator with limited functionality (one map, limited number of available troops), and two full missions: an "Assault on Syrtsev" that's played from the German side, and the other set in south Verkhopenye played from the Soviet side. The download is available from Battlefront.com and mirrored on AtomicGamer, ComputerGames.ro, Gamer's Hell, and WorthPlaying.

Perhaps not as a top-selling, chart-topping mega hit such as the ones you mention, Cliffski, but it certainly has the chance for a smaller niche role. I say the more the merrier. I don't think I've seen such a resurgence of strategy and wargames since the original old-skool games came out in the 80's and early 90's. No point in jinxing it, even if it needs some work, and I do agree that it does and I hope that the devs are listening...

I gave this a go, but rapidly lost interest. It looks really bad and the interface is very wobbly and needs work, the camera being especially unusable. In a world with company of heroes and men of war, this has no chance.
