WoW China Follow-up

A story on JLM Pacific Epoch attributed to an "unnamed insider" saying China's General Administration of Press and Publications (GAPP) and Ministry of Culture (MoC) have reached consensus over whether NetEase's operation of World of Warcraft in China contravened regulations, and will announce a punishment in mid-January. so athiests are different than god worshipers how? just two different sides of the same coin. much in teh same way communist are to capitalists, are they not both a system of control? religious pumpers claim with utter certainty that there is a god and afterlife, athiests claim the complete opposite with utter certainty, the only difference of faith is which side of the coin you want to choose. which was my main point, some ppls love of the status quo would attemp to hijack it into something it's not. objectivity is lost, which is the true barbarian knocking at the walls of this current form of rome.

@Hellbinder:
In the USA you can even be a satan worshiper and get prayer thrown out of school because of your own religion of atheism.

Did you just call atheism a religion? Your mind is fueled by ignorance and delusions.

Dr. Strangelove said it best....

General: Try one of these Jamaican cigars, Ambassador. They're pretty good.

Ambassador de Sadesky: Thank you, no. I do not support the work of imperialist stooges.

General: Oh, only commie stooges, huh?

"Nobody wants to be nobody in America. Ed is the apotheosis of a prevailing American syndrome. It used to be that someone became famous because they were special. Now people are considered special just for being famous. Fame, itself, is its own virtue.

this isnt a democracy. it is a republic. true Democracy is Bad.

And While the freedoms we have in the usa are being taken away rapidly we are still not at the level of China. It is SAD how freaking uninformed and uneducated some people are.

In china they kill you and jail you for political protesting. here Acorn can steal election after election and the democrats can at the same time get on national tv and accuse republicans of stealing elections. the end result no one goes to jail.

in China They kill you and jail you for religious expresson. They call tibetan monks *subversives*. In the USA you can even be a satan worshiper and get prayer thrown out of school because of your own religion of atheism.

The list goes on.

No one is going to shut Wow or any other mmo down in the usa. To even say something that STUPID shows how pathetic our society has gotten.

It's pretty hilarious when something to do with the World of Warcraft can spark political ideology feuds and bring the super power thumpers out of the woodwork.

I'm going to go bury my head in the sand.

The myth is that any country besides Switzerland has true democracy. Its more like the communism in Russia was. It was never true communism (nor in any other country that claimed to be communistic).

Because of the events in the recent past, even the most numb people should have noticed that by now. Its only going to get worse from now on.

Yea but I can still go out and buy a loaf of bread without needing permission from the local bureau officer..!

And you can do that in China too. Way to cling to some delusional 1984 fantasy version of a country that you've never visited.

really not much better than the capitalist jerk off's they keep butting heads with, it's just we in the west pretend we live in a democracy, where china doesn't attempt to cling to such myths. dont' believe for a minute if WOW somehow conflicted with any profit or marketing interests here that it wouldn't be axed in a minute under some false pretense here as well.
