Again though, the fact that a few decades of research have not yet been able to show what is theorized to have happened over the course of hundreds of millions of years is not terribly surprising. We obviously haven't figured it out yet. Of course there were lots of things that we hadn't figured out until relatively recently in our history either, so this doesn't really prove anything.

Science is moving at a faster and faster pace all the time. Look how much more we know now than we did even 100 years ago. Heck even 50 or 20 years ago. Science has proven its usefulness over and over.

You reversed it in your response. Can't fault humans for not figuring out God's mechanisms just yet, can you? We don't have the benefit of omniscience ya know.

Because science doesn't just fall back on a "God did it" explanation when they haven't yet figured something out. If they did that, we'd probably never figure anything out if it wasn't easily done.

There are lots of things that we have theories about that we've never observed. Why do you think they built the Large Hadron Collider? They hope to learn more about subatomic particles, including the ones we've theorized but never before observed! Maybe we'll find them, or maybe we'll end up with new theories.

The point is that just because it hasn't been seen or figured out yet doesn't mean it won't be, and it's certainly not a reason to attribute it to a god, let alone a specific god.

I don't see how your response here has anything to do with what I said. I'm sure that people are quite capable of writing quotes. That does nothing to support the idea that those quotes are of divine origin.

Me writing "Thou shalt all give Wowbagger_TIP all of your worldly possessions. - God" doesn't make it any more or less of a divine quote than the biblical texts.

are we abandoning the government-related stuff? I thought we were headed towards a rough agreement there...
