Don't ride in a car, you might get in an accident. Don't buy a house, it might burn down. Don't buy an Internet connection, you might get hacked.
There is a big difference between an accident and bad design. Not really. |

Absent that, The Saboteur + Dead Space for $33.55 is mighty tempting, but I've got an ATI video card. 8-) If you're using XP, Saboteur will run fine. |

If Torchlight doesn't constantly crash on you.

The development team seems fairly incompetent on fixing some major game breaking bugs. That's the funny thing about games, some people have problems, some don't. I've never had had TorchLight crash in many, many hours of play.
Most of the issues I've seen reported related to crashing so far have been a result of the horrid DRM some of the distributors are using.

Torchlight for $10? $SOLD$.
I still haven't finished playing Titan Quest or even started the expansion pack. I regret buying those $5 games on D2D now as well, I know that I can install and get titan quest running and that will give me all the 3rd person action rpg action I need but I don't want to bother with the online activation BS. Download, install, copy serial code, insert it at install, copy activation code, paste that into the activation window, just a huge joke.
Steam by comparison, buy, download, play. So much happier with the discount games I buy on steam. |

| Sucks that the EA sale is only for digital copies. I'd buy a few things if the boxed copies got the discount. I don't like EA's limited re-download policy. (I recall them having it be only a few years, though I haven't checked if they've made it any better) |

Um, yeah. Torchlight ftw.
I think someone mentioned it when they were playing through, but dual pistols are the shit.

A bundle of Machinarium (Win+Mac+Linux) + Samorost 2 (Win+Mac+Linux) + soundtracks for both is available directly from the developer for $10, runs until Christmas.
Impulse also have Machinarium alone for $7, don't know when that expires. It's part of their campaign of 1-day-sales only advertised if you allow them to display pop-up ads on your desktop. Some other "mailers" for sales they seem to have put up ahead of time (with the coupons already active) are Spore, Civ IV, Elven Legacy, Prototype, Assassin's Creed, X-Com, Lightweight Ninja, and Dark Void (Preorder).
Creston: Demigod's coupon expired last night (EDIT: And GC2's coupon is expired as I write this), the others will presumably expire 24 hours after they become "live" in the ad client, but they're already working ahead of time.
Does anyone have any experience with the EA store RE: DRM? skyguy's link to a link just mentions that RA3 has 5 activations. Are all the games in EA's store the same? NFS: Shift + a random $10 game is kind of appealing for $20 after discounts and a $5 coupon.

| I wouldn't feel bad about the $20 I spent on Torchlight if they were giving away for free. At $10 you'd have to hate action/RPG dungeon crawlers to miss out. There's already a bunch of mods that make the game even better (including character classes, yays for male vanquishers and female destroyers) and it hasn't been out for two months yet. |

| What are the chances of Left 4 Dead 2 going half price on a December 26 Steam sale? They did it last year with the first game, but I'm curious if anyone's heard any different. Unsure if I should pick it up in the store or not in time for Christmas. |
