Console gaming dying? What a joke.

Console gaming isn't dying, it's growing exponentially, as opposed to PC gaming which is shrinking rapidly. That's the truth. People will bring up stuff like online sales and such, it's just excuse-making.

Take your head out of the sand. Stop lying to yourself. I can't believe some people still say 'PC gaming will never die'. EVERYTHING DIES. NOTHING LASTS FOREVER. Are you fucking nuts? Consoles have been around far longer than PC gaming, unless people consider all computer gaming to be 'PC' gaming, in which case playing a Wii game must be PC gaming!

On the other hand, gaming as a whole isn't in great shape. Consoles are losing console makers (except Nintendo) money. Games more often lose money than make it. Game development simply costs too much, and including marketing, many games barely can be seen as a business 'success' at all.

The developers going out of business... Many games take thousands of developers and multiple international corporations to develop...

To the concept of browser gaming or cloud computing like OnLive. That stuff is still a long ways off in terms of true commercial feasibility. 20+ years.

Still, one day PC gaming AND console gaming will be 'dead' to anyone who remembers what they used to be. Things change, it is inevitable.

Right now, however, consoles are dominating the gaming industry unlike any point in gaming history.
