A new patch is now available for Call of Duty: World at War, updating Treyarch's World War II first-person shooter to version 1.7. The new version fixes a multiplayer server crash exploit, a voice chat crash on systems with no default recording device, and an issue causing erroneous duplicate qport errors while adding an option for server admins to disable team switching. The patch to update version 1.6 to 1.7 is available on AtomicGamer, FanGaming, FileFront, Gamer's Hell, The Patches Scrolls, Strategy Informer, and Worthplaying, while a separate patch for the German edition is available on FanGaming, FileFront, Gamer's Hell, and The Patches Scrolls. There's also an updated dedicated Linux server, harkening back to the old days of the CoD series, and this can be found on AtomicGamer, FanGaming, FileFront, Gamer's Hell, The Patches Scrolls, and Worthplaying.
