A post on superannuation includes a vimeo video that was a pitch demo from Pandemic Studios for Mercenaries Incorporated, a multiplayer sandbox game based on their Mercenaries universe that was presumably not picked up. It was recently learned that Pandemic is closing, though its IPs will live on at EALA.

While it looks interesting, honestly after never finishing Merc's 2, I really do not have alot of interest in games from Pandemic Studios. Sorry they closed, but I can see why.
