AvP Has Dedicated Servers

Dedicated servers are the new black, thanks to Modern Warfare 2, and GamesIndustry.biz has word from Rebellion that Aliens versus Predator will include dedicated server support. "Despite rumours, Rebellion has always been planning to support dedicated servers for Aliens vs Predator PC and we can now officially confirm that this is the case. Rebellion has always appreciated fan support," says Rebellion CEO Jason Kingsley of their upcoming first-person shooter remake. "We're really looking forward to the release of Aliens vs Predator as much as you guys are!"

well bobby limpdick's experiement worked then, take a game from a franchise that couldn't loose money no matter how hard you pounded it's wounded rectum, set the bar so low when ppl have such high expectations, then you reduce the bar without consequence. the carrot just keeps getting smaller, but we'll keep running faster and faster on the treadmill to get it. run gerbils run! there's another morsel being discharged at the doorstep of pc gaming, get that nugget while it's still hot n steamy! this game shouldn't need to advertise dedicated servers if it has something of actual merrit to talk about. AVP was an awesome game for it's day, i just hope they buck the trend and stop wasting all the game budget on marketing. I don't need another box full of shiney pictures depicting a popular IP with a neutered platformer clone tucked inside. we're putting forth a real effort into the pc version, thats all I need to hear, not we're adding features that were in every pc fps since it invented the genre. we're not getting anything here, we're just not having something taken away.
