Obsidian has done pretty well with the games it's developed, including several under extreme pressure from crappy publishers.
Personally I don't see this a permanent decision, Sega is short on money, this game took awhile longer since they had to develop their own engine. So in two or three years, if Sega gets a couple of hits the assets could easily be ungraded. |
