Mac BioShock Next Month

Eurogamer has word that Mac users can expect the release of a Mac edition of BioShock next month. Preorders are being accepted on Feral's online shop, where the game carries a full $50.00 price tag. System requirements are 1.8GHz Intel CPU, 1.5 GB of RAM, a 128MB graphics card, DVD drive and OS X 10.5.8, and word is: "This game does not support GMA graphics cards with shared RAM."

Did he use the OS X cd to install the XP drivers? Install DirectX runtime? Update GPU drivers? He's a mac guy. He doesn't know about that stuff.

The "Mac hardware" is Intel hardware including the motherboard so any problems he is having are due to his XP install and not the hardware itself. Did he use the OS X cd to install the XP drivers? Install DirectX runtime? Update GPU drivers? This comment was edited on Sep 25, 2009, 16:29.

The hardware is almost exactly the same as a standard PC nowadays. I've played tons of games on the Boot Camp side, though honestly I wish more games would get ports to Mac OS X, and not two years after the original release...

A coworker has an Intel-based Mac with OSX and XP installed. He can boot into either. Unfortunately when he boots into XP he hasn't been able to get a lot of PC games to run, and he doesn't know why. My wild guess is it has something to do with Apple's hardware.
