To save some space, CPU, RAM and GPU could have taken a single line just like the OS for a total of 6 saved lines. More space for the always longer "On sale" list.

Why do people care about system specs anymore anyway; if you're that close to the edge of the specs that they even matter you're probably not going to enjoy your framerates.

I never played the old STALKER games until six months later anyway, because of bugs.

This is a hidden blessing, really.

The GSC forums are still holding out beyond reasonable hope that this is some sort of fiscal year quarter or a website mistake by bitComposer, even if they are the publisher.

Not thrilled with the English delay but hopefully it will allow for the bugs to be worked out. Not to mention maybe I'll have a DX11 card by then.

This and Dirt2 are the most anticipated games for me.

Looking forward to being totally absorbed in the dripping atmosphere
like the first. Clear Sky was not so much as good but still fun after some mods fixed some things up.

7. As long as . . . Sep 22, 2009, 20:56 Dreagon

. . . the delay results in more bugs being ironed out, then I can live with it.

Those specs make perfect sense considering that CoP will still have the DX8 rendering mode that the first came had - the rendering engine that at a perfectly smooth 60fps even on a 6800GT and high resolutions. They just keep building at the top end.

Sucks that it's not coming till next year though, I was looking forward to this :-(

No offense but these system specs (both min and recomm) have been known since May.

I guess Niko Bellic(the voice of every NPC in the game), had scheduling issues with the English voice overs.

they seem to patch it more before they release the US version.. IIRC each stalker release has been this way. i think they figure theyve already got the euros in the bag, so let em beta test the shit for em
Go forth, and kill!

No kidding, only a DX8 card is required? Only 512mb of RAM? I can't remember the last time I saw even a laptop with so little memory.
Huh? I'm sorry, I was thinking about cake.
