Also is it me or does mw2 look like its running at 30fps instead of 60fps? I downloaded the high-res .mp4 of the flag runner video from the official MW2 site and it's definitely running 60 fps on the 360. The videos linked above are all lower quality video at a lower framerate, so it just looks slower.

Yeah I dunno, I ALWAYS played with no more than 10 or 12 players at any time when I first got COD4 for PC. I also hosted my own games sometimes (was a real bitch to get working too...), but it was fun. COD4 was so much better with 6-10 players max in a game... Just so much more enjoyable. Then you see 30 player Shipment games...ugh... more like helicopter facepillaging
Bots would be nice... or atleast more support for them... |

Funny how they've eaten Raven Software's lunch and essentially created a Soldier of Fortune game. That Highrise map really reminds me of the map from SoF2 (forgot the name) with the chopper on the top of the building and you have to retrieve the briefcase and bring it back.
This looks a little more frantic and the Highrise map lacks the space for even 18 players, can't imagine what a spam fest it would be with 32.

I do believe cod4 even on consoles ran at 60fps, they lowered the rez to 1024x600 in order to keep it at a steady 60fps.
Id hate for them to compromise the framerate for better graphics.
I may be wrong here. |

@Sempai -- This is likely using a modified CoD4/5 engine. It's far too similar to pass off for something else... Someone commented on another site that it's going to cost $60 because that's what Activision/Blizzard's CEO could milk it for, though he would charge more if he could.
Everyone's gonna buy it regardless, because it's CoD: MW2
As for the 30FPS etc this is all on the 360 (all of the videos), that's why, and it's probably locked at 30 frames. |

Will this have cage matches like cod4 did? I almost exclusively play 1v1's, im not into the large team games of chaos.
Also..is this using the same engine as cod4?
It looks sharp but looks the same, IW games are always solid and fun but if this indeed uses the same engine id like to know why the pc version is going to cost $60 bucks. Is this what they mean by it costing them more money to produce games using the same engine over and over?
Just wondering. |

Yeah, I like being 50-70 years older than I really am... Woot!
Pretty nice, I especially like Highrise and Afghan... very nice maps. Sexy guns too. The guy on Highrise seems both lucky and good. |

| Nothing quite as fun as having to enter your birth year (1901, of course) 11 times. |
