wtf? i been playing BF2 1.5 on my lan all morning, it's running in the background right now, been alt tabbing it like mad.
apparently your fix is: come to my house, play it over here.
The alt-tab bug is only for people who enable AA in graphics options. If you don't use AA, then you didn't experience the bug. |

No you won't have to. If you have the 1.5 patch already, all you need is the hotfix. Sounds to me like they will re-spin a 1.51 patch that is only for people who haven't yet downloaded the 1.50 patch. |

Alt-tabbing screws up most games, it's a known fact, and most games are not built to constantly minimize and restore. Most games I play alt-tab just fine, so it's most certainly not a "known fact". The worst issue I come across is a two or three second delay when switching back to the game.
Also, if you are really that desperate to check your emails while playing so badly, use window mode. It's not about being "desperate" to check them but something to do when I'm not doing much in-game. It's the year 2009 - it really shouldn't be too much to ask to be able to instantly switch to desktop and back to the game when finished. Win7 has improved things from Vista but there's still often a one or two second delay, especially when switching back. Just because you have no interest in alt-tabbing out of games doesn't mean others don't. |

| Most new games support alt-tab, and it should be ubiquitous pretty soon. It is medieval to not support it and shows that the developer needs to get with the times. |

The point is Battlefield 2 previously had no issues with alt-tabbing and most importantly we need to alt-tab for teamspeak  |

Most games? Alt-tabbing screws up about 5% of the games I've played in the last 5 years and that doesn't make it OK anyway. A bug is a bug, it's a multitasking system.
If you really want to check your email while playing without alt-tabbing, get a smart phone. Android + K9 Email client rocks |

And if the game were to crash when walking would you suggest 'not walking' as a solution? The point is they should get the game working, especially when this patch has gone through a ridiculous amount of testing.
Alt-tabbing is important to me. I like to be able to check any emails I get as and when they come in, whether I'm in-game or not. lol what a bad analogy. Alt-tabbing screws up most games, it's a known fact, and most games are not built to constantly minimize and restore.

aah...AA off. perhaps that's why i am having no issues.
on an unrelated note, i've apparently never tried bf2 with AA on, i'll be checking that out now!
