No PC Section 8 Demo Plans

A thread on the TimeGate Studios Forums inquires about plans for a demo for Section 8, the first-person shooter from TimeGate Studios that was released in North America just today (thanks DG). Unfortunately, the reply from TimeGate's community liaison indicates there probably will not be one: "We do not have plans to release a Section 8 demo for the PC at this time. Currently, we only have a demo for the Xbox 360 version."

well the xbox reviews so far are 75% avg on game rankings. and we all know console reviews are generally softer than pc reviews. lol

It has single player but it's really nothing more than a tutorial for multiplayer sliced into mini-missions. I have enjoyed multiplayer games offline in bot mode before, like UT and Demigod... is it one of those, do you think?

I was watching a 10 minute walkthrough for this and it looked really awesome actually... the jetpack, the air drops, it all looked spiffy... then I found out the game has no singleplayer. I am a singleplayer guy, so... dissapointing. It seems like a lot of cool idea are there for a campaign as well. Oh well.

Well the game probably does suck. But we shall see the reviews

I actually found the multiplayer beta pretty fun. If the single player is similar it might actually be a decent game.

if you love every FPS game you see, you will like Section 8. IF you are a Tribes/ Battlefield / Team shooter player you won't.

They're probably not making a demo because the game had a month long semi-open beta on the PC. I've never tried it though so I don't care that much.

This is a shame. I played the demo on the 360 and it was the closest I've gotten to a Tribes 1 experience since... well, Tribes. I loved the Starship Troopers 'dropping in from orbit' aspect of it.

They certainly are going to rake in sales on PC that way. Rolleyes Well I for one am not even bothering to check this game out. If they can't bother to provide a demo them I can't bother to be interested.

aww dang, my first Bluesnews submission ! I think that's the first time i have even tried in my.. err.. decade of coming here. Am i really that old? This isn't about me tho No demo ='s not good no matter how you slice it. I'm trying to think of any top tier FPS title within the last 5 yeas that didnt have a demo.. anyone know of one? Even the military super sims have demos.. this is bizarre to me.
