Out of the Blue

Last night we celebrated the birthday of a close friend who is a few years older than I am. I asked him to explain whatever mistake he made to get so old, but he wouldn't share, so now I'm concerned I'll end up repeating it, darn it all. Oh well, not learning that secret aside, it was a fun celebration.

x-files hit a stride in the first few seasons, and was extremely good when the smoking man was doing his thing behind the scenes and all that.. and then they had his whole alien abduction reveal and so forth, which was somewhat forced, and also where it should have ended - but it kept going and basically turned to random garbage after that, then mulder left and they still kept going, then scully left and they still kept going

but yeh the first few seasons were conspiracy thriller gold, really well done.. whenever i think of the 90s, x-files is one of the first things that comes to mind - it was iconic

Go forth, and kill!

Yes, the second X-Files move was horrible. Just horrible.

I went through the X-Files series on Netflix about 2 years ago.
This past July I got the entire series on DVD to own and have been going back through it. Really was a great show for the most part.

Yeah, we saw Basterds last night as well. Needed a lot more Basterds and a lot less of the other stuff. It was in fact, really a slow movie.

I will be surprised if it happens - the last movie was a random, disconnected piece of junk.

Maybe if Carter is expressly blocked from the set, but neither he nor the studio have any idea what made that series good.
Baby? What baby? Dead baby!
Wondering what kwalitee actor could upstage the greatness that is Xzibit <cough>,

Well Basterds was pretty good, but I was hoping for more action. In fact, there's pretty much no action at all. I guess that makes up for District 9 having too much.
