MCV has the
announcement of the PS3 Slim, a pared down version of Sony's console that's been
the worst-kept secret in the gaming world for some time now. The news is
accompanied by a confirmation of a
PS3 price cut,
which was the second worst-kept secret in gaming over that same period. The PS3
Slim has a 120 GB hard drive, is 32% smaller and 36% lighter than its forebear,
and is said to consume 34% less power. As for pricing, the PS3 Slim will cost
€299.99, $299.00 and 29,980 yen, and the price on the current 80GB model has
been cut to those pointes as well. Word is: " UK price has yet to be confirmed."
The PS3 Slim is expected in stores by the first week in September.

Have you seen any pictures of the power brick?
Nope I haven't. Just seems to be the main speculation, some claim to have it "confirmed" but offer no proof. My first reaction (from the photos of the port at the back) was it's just a standard AC power cable that can be used on any number of devices...
