Dark Salvation Now Available

Mangled Eye Studios announces Dark Salvation is complete, and this horror-themed first-person shooter built on id's Tech 3 engine from Quake III Arena is now for sale. The Dark Salvation Orders Page offers two ways to get the game; there's a limited edition boxed version that includes the game DVD and an audio CD (they say this can be autographed on request) as well as digitally distributed edition at a lower price. Here's a bit on the game: "You take on the role of a dead woman named Talia who is given new life by a magical object of the Underworld called the Spirit Crystal. This object gives her the power and ability to wield heavy weaponry and cast magic from each of those weapons."

Game looked weak. Too many satanic symbols to be cool for cools sake. Three thumbs down! I was hoping for better graphics, not sure if it was the engine or the devs problem.

It looks pretty decent, all things considered. It kind of reminds me on Undying, but with a less-spooky atmosphere.

lol oh now I see what the problem is. The site isn't http://www.darksalvation.com its http://darksalvation.com there is no www.

Just stop. None of your 'fixes' work. The address isn't wrong, any of those links should work. Their server just dies every minute meaning a small fraction of people can see the server when it's up.

Seems to be working just fine for me. Cleared my cache as well to see if I was just retaining the site. It just works.

No, the link isn't broken, their server is. Index2 gives the same error.

Actually it seems to be a problem with the link here. Googled the game and found the site's address http://www.darksalvation.com/index2.html - guess not having index2.html there brings up the forbidden 403 error. (odd I know).

That said, they're obviously self-hosting the flash trailer.

...I guess they locked themselves in their office since Q3A came out and never got exposed to Youtube.

Seriously though, that's awesomely stupid for a small company with no bandwidth.

They definitely didn't need to tell me it was the Q3 engine. Unmistakable.

Not that the website would be particularly demanding on a P3 webserver. That said, they're obviously self-hosting the flash trailer.

No it's not! Obviously the dozens of simultaneous hits are just too much for their P3 Celeron laptop / web server.

FORBIDDEN: 403! Damn that is one hell of a cool website, very viral. I like how they have hidden the links on the page...
