| I would strongly encourage the devs to include a perk that gives you two attachments (within reason). Call it "Gadget freak" or something. Put it in the second perk group to force players to make trade offs. |

I have a feeling that for HellSlayer, if you're brown with funny eyes, you're probably a "gook." Anything more is too sophisticated.
Hell, until second grade I didn't know there were more countries in Asia than China, Japan and Vietnam. Cut the guy some slack, you know what I'm saying? |

I'm having a similar reaction to Call of Duty: World at War. All of my CoD4 friends bought it on release day and haven't been back yet. I'm sorry, but shelling out cash for what feels like a mod (and a rather middling one at that) just doesn't make sense to me. To make matters worse they're not even playing the co-op campaign, just team deathmatch!
Oh, and Gears blows. I played through the first one and was left wondering what all the console kids were so excited about. To hear that the second one is more of the same isn't surprising. |

Ok, I've seen some love for Fable 2 on Blue's, but are there any major annoyances/problems with the game? As someone who purchased Black and White, I've earned all of my Molyneux-associated distrust. I just don't want to get hurt again. |

Sencho, unfortunately history has proven that the electoral system fails.
President Bush.
Q.E.D. Do not confuse our electoral system with how elections are run. Florida in 2000 and Ohio in 2004 were problematic, to put it diplomatically. That said, I think people are more prepared and more willing to fight voter suppression efforts in this election than in the past.
To those bemoaning the lack of a meaningful third party: If you don't vote for a third party, you are denying it the most basic kind of support. Without that support, you'll never see a meaningful third party emerge.
Bats: Can we quote you on the whole socialism in two years deal? |

Oddly enough, this iteration of the series reminds of a stinking fish. Actually, it reminds me of the first release of Day of Defeat for Half-Life, but the original Day of Defeat was a little better.
I hope for the sake of all those who plan to purchase it that the multiplayer beta is truly a beta build. Cooperative play or no, I'm not buying this one. |

Amazing, repeated exposure to loud noises causes hearing loss! Who would have thunk it?
To quote a Weezer T-shirt, "If it's too loud, turn it down."

Re: D3 fixed stat progression |

My immediate reaction was similar, though not as vulgar. Then I remembered back to D2 and that most builds (possibly all?) had one of two stat progressions. You set set strength and dexterity to the minimum required by your equipment and spent the rest on vitality. The other option was to spend more on dexterity to keep your blocking at 75%. You did that at the cost of vitality. No one who understood how the game worked in nightmare or hell spent points in energy (mana). If your build didn't follow those guidelines, you were ineffective in the higher difficulty levels.
I'm cautiously optimistic above this. It seems the devs have thought this through, but until we hear about the later levels and how equipment will work, I don't think we should condemn it without further explanation.
P.S. For the record, I'm glad health and mana potions are gone! I will miss my exploding potions though.

A Twilight 2000 MMO would blow my mind. A Shadowrun MMO would blow my mind EVEN MORE.
Imagine how cool it would be for your party to come across a broken, but repairable, BMP in a Twilight 2000 MMO.
Imagine how awesome it would be for your party to pull off a run, with coordinated cyber attack, on Renraku in a Shadowrun MMO.
Be still my beating heart.

I'd wager his 6:1 figure includes sales of all games in each franchise. When did Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero II come out? I know Guitar Hero II was a big success. If you looked at sales of the Guitar Hero franchise starting at III, I think the advantage would not be as great.
Besides, don't you think Harmonix, EA and MTV are making a killing on DLC?

Is it considered a feature or a bug when the developers aid certain factions in the game?
