I liked it a lot except for some of the early pacing. I think once they got out of the Shire the pace of the movie started to pick up.

Hmmm maybe I'll pick up more games then this weekend. So far I've only bought Kotor2 and Mark of the ninja in the sales. Oh, and I also bought the Artrage app.

Looks like they trained you to be a good little consumer

It's called: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capitalism

The key is to always pay cash for a car. Never get a loan.

Whatever. I could have paid cash when I bought my car in 2009 but the dealer had a 0% financing promotion. So I made money off interest in my bank instead of paying for it all at once. And it padded my credit rating at the same time...

Next there will be gun controller buybacks at Police stations. *rolls eyes*

And violent books. What about all the written violence? Surely that is desensitizing the kids as well. Let's buy all the violent books back.

I'm sure these people think it is helping and I guess it is; it is helping them to cope with senseless tragedy. While shitting all over the truth...

That is a catchy song.

As far as the end of the world, "meh". I'll be like, "TGIF! Hmmm what's for sale on STEAMZ and GOGZ today???"

I just hope any crazies drink their own kool aid and die and leave innocents alone.

I just bought a bunch of GoG packs this morning too. I already had games in some of the packs but GoG automagically subtracts the price of those games from the packs so it was a no-brainer.

I like Techdirt's blog post about how the NRA is planning to point fingers at movies and video games in their planned press conference Friday.

I would have bought my wife a new laptop for Christmas except for two reasons:

Every laptop sale online has Win8 and no touchscreen
No option to configure it for Win7 instead

I like how they have all these forum rules in their STEAM forum and one of them is no referring to people as "Care Bears", "trolls", or "fan boys", yet the actual dev in one of his responses on the Kotaku article refers to fan boys. Hypocrite much?

there're still DayZ fanboys out there who just can't accept fact that similar concept doesn't mean being copycat...

EDIT: LOL, and Mike already has a post up about this

I've only used it at work but I actually like Microsoft's imagex utility. And since it is file based there is no need to back up the pagefile and other temp files on a drive. The whole process is kind of a pain to create a PE bootcd with imagex and the bcdboot utilities but once you've got that it's not bad at all.

I have a kindle keyboard and kindle fire. E-ink is so much better on the eyes for reading than any backlit IPS screen imo. I predict there will eventually be a roll-up or fold up e-ink display and that's what I want to be using to read with

I would love to watch the trailer for that new flick but it looks like the Sony copyright bots took it down from youtube. Great marketing there guys.

I would love for once to read something on reddit and not have stupid little joke comments with a play on words or other immaturity dominate the top posts in the thread.

Or maybe I'm just getting old and don't find classroom banter funny anymore.

Look on the bright side: at least it's not Sims 4 or something that is making $1B or that silly Molyneux curiosity "game".

Does a Uplay disconnection cause the single player to kick you out?

Can this be played entirely offline?

I'd really like to get this game but only if single player can be played entirely offline since my internet is too flaky at times. Otherwise I may buy it bargain bin in a year or so and use a 3rd party *ahem* enhancement to make it offline capable.
