News Comments > GOG.com Adding Linux

More linux the better. My next PC build will be an Intel NUC PC with Ubuntu and wine. No, it won't play the latest and greatest but it will sip power and play enough...especially indies that support linux.

No pricing? Still no demo? Doubtful this will be less than $20 which is what I would value it at this point.

Had to get Chaos Theory again on STEAM even though I have it on CD (Starforce DRM blah). The cheapass in me is waiting for Blacklist to get <$5 before I buy it though. Not that I have time to play either game...

Hopefully people vote with their wallets this time. When is the single player offline mode coming? I might consider buying D3 then...

I'm going to miss it about as much as the Blockbuster video store near me that recently closed after 20+ years. In other words, good riddance!

Now now be fair. In it's day Blockbuster was at least useful.

And in its day they raped customers with late fees and price gouging for new release movies. I went to mom & pop video stores instead.

Nice, I'll have to get this at some point. DRM free and multi-platform!

I still boot to my Ubuntu partition but lately a bf1942 addiction has taken hold of me so I've been wingaming...

Now I see why they wanted the online DRM...to prevent penis shaped cities.

EDIT: And imagine the millions in sales that Just Cause 2 (from recent mp mod) would have lost if they had these same restrictions.

I'm sure I'll buy it...just hoping it's better balanced at release than their last game was.

I suppose the good thing about playing WoW when I played it was not spending money on other games so there's that...

1999 when Everquest first came out for me. The Kunark and Velious expansions were great too. MUD's were early MMO's as well and I remember playing Realms of Despair in the years before Everquest and I loved that too...

His requirement to stay with Popcap after EA bought them probably expired Dec. 31st so he is leaving now.

Euro truck sim 2 is pretty cool. I haven't played it in a few weeks but it's a relaxing sim. And trying to back in an 18 wheeler to a loading dock is much harder than I imagined lol. I usually just give up and let it do it automatically...

For anyone who's been having trouble with desktop and browser instability with the latest drivers, as I was, these might do the trick. I've got a 460 GTX and wasn't able to install anything past 314.22 without getting frequent crashes.

Been using 331.58 for the past week or so (which were posted in the Nvidia forum as a test driver) and all's been well so far.

I've got two 460gtx's myself, and 331.58 have been very stable for me.

Thanks! Been having bluescreen reboot crashes lately in Firefox with 331.65 & 331.82 on my GTX560. Just installed 331.58 and hopefully won't see any more nasty crashes now...

So Distant Worlds and the three expansions finally go on sale and the total for all four is $64.96?????

Sorry I can get like 10+ AAA games from Steam during one of their sales for that amount. Guess I'll wait another year or three lol.

The close-ups are nice and all but the Wargame series are played at blimp-eye's view 99.999% of the game lol. Yes, screwing around watching replays is closer but I'm just saying...
