| I know that I'll want the mods to make things better, but I also know that the game will be good enough out of the box that I'm going to buy it anyway. Skyrim and DX:HR are the main things on my list for this year. I doubt I'll have time for anything else. |

Wouldn't you prefer some reasoning? Again, I don't think that at 8 feet the enormously improved processing power of a computer is nearly as noticeable. And yes, there's an enormous difference between laying on a couch 8-10 feet from a screen and sitting upright on a chair 8-10 inches from a screen. I'll take the chair and screen on a desk any day if it means I get as good or better graphics, along with full mod support so that I can experience all the amazing things that the modders create for these games. Oblivion was completely transformed by mods, and it was amazing. Console players got the basic crappy out-of-the-box game and that's it. It's tragic that they never got to experience the full potential of that game. |

Lastly, the biggest complaint I had about Oblivion, bigger than scaling (which it sounds like they vastly improved) was having to scroll through a billion useless items to get to useful ones (with no way to mod this on the 360.) Seems they haven't fixed that... Which is why I never understand people buying these games for a console. It's like you're intentionally choosing the inferior product. |

| I'm just a huge sucker for these games. I already know I'll buy it pretty much first day. It looks like it may have some annoyances and stuff that need fixing, but I'll play around for a while until mods come along to fix those things. Should still be fun. Considering how many hours I put into Oblivion, this game could keep me busy for many months. |

Ouch. The UI looks even less efficient than Oblivion's. You now have to scroll through your stats, skills, perks and inventory. That's going to be a whole lot of scrolling. Hopefully there will be UI mods to fix it. Those were essential mods for Oblivion.
I'm also a bit worried about the dragons. Bethesda has never been very good at balancing. If they think the dragons look cool, they'll probably have them spawn on a frequent basis, making an once cool spectacle into a routine chore. Nothing will be more annoying than giant cliffracers. If it turns out like that, it will hopefully be fixed by a monster mod or overhaul |

| If there were any mods that fixed the retarded design decisions of FC2, I would have picked it up a while ago. But even today it seems there are no mods for it. It's dead. I'm not giving them a penny for it, and I hope they learn not to be quite so stupid in the future. |

| I've played since then, but haven't really looked at the store. Had someone do a trade with me the other night. There were a lot of items I'd never heard of, so yeah, I guess I'm a bit behind on that. Thankfully most of it doesn't matter much in the game. |

| Looks pretty awesome. I'm definitely a fan of tactical games like this. Unfortunately, after Portal 2 and Witcher 2, my game budget is exhausted at the moment. Got DX:HR coming up in August, which will likely be a full-price purchase for me too, so this may have to wait until fall. Maybe it'll be on sale by then. |

Bought SPAZ the other day. Pretty good so far. Hoping that it will be great by the time it gets out of beta. Lots of good suggestions and fixes on the forums, and the devs seem to be pretty responsive too.
I mainly just wanted to support them, since it's really just two guys building the game. I want more games like this. I pine for the days of games like Star Control 2 and Escape Velocity Nova. |

You mean aside from the 3 different classes and various talent trees to mess with? Or the never ending dungeon...etc. Doesn't matter really. They're all just as repetitive, so a never-ending dungeon isn't really a plus. |

I"m planning to give it a try again tonight. Hopefully most servers will be updated by then.
The only other major issue I have with the game (aside from balance issues, but those are always ongoing) is the problem with invisible characters. It's only happened to me once, but it's still something that needs fixing asap. |

Maybe try a different server. Medics revive me all the time. Maybe you were playing with people who still didn't know what they were doing yet. Or maybe they were just dicks.
Sometimes it's hard to tell...
Anyway, I'm glad to see they fixed the sound issue finally. The alt-tab thing is welcome too. That annoyed the hell out of me. |
