Beautiful Universe 2007 Photo Contest Winners.
Those are awesome, but is there no way to see larger images??? Yeah that's a bummer, but I guess they want you to buy the book:

And it has material from Jim Bell of the Mars Rover team. I get to see him on Friday- he coming to our group for a special meeting & book signing.
Edit: link above looks broken but it still works. Not sure why it shows that way. This comment was edited on Nov 22, 09:17. |

US $900.00 Auction ended early with Buy It Now. Ouch! Boy It Now == Money Gone Now, as in as soon as you click the submit button.
So he spent $900 for what, $30 worth of hardware?

Morons were probably standing 3 feet from the TV. Or more percisely, within arms-reach of the TV, meaning they probably smashed the screen with the wiimote still firmly in their grasp.

efinitely.
Hell, I'm even having a hard time believing that a flying Wiimote could crack the glass on a CRT.. the remotes are reputed to be quite small and lightweight, and the glass on a TV is pretty substantial. I'm thinking the same thing. Unless you're playing baseball and try to pitch the wiimote like a split-fingered fastball directly at the TV, I hardly imagine that the TV would get wrecked.
That being said, if a TV DID get nuked with a wiimote, I wanna see video!

This is old footage (early '90's I'm guessing) and is not related to the recent Leonids.

PS3 |

OK so I don't follow the console scene that closely, but I did know that PS3 was coming out this week. What I didn't know was that it retails for $600!??? WTF? Didn't X360 cost half that?
People are camping out at the local Best buy for it. $600 for a console is a bit steep IMO.

What? No Adolf Hitler?! We can't be ruling out the possibility of easter eggs, now. Nah, the History Channel stopped being the "World War II Channel" some time ago. Now they play more shows about UFOs and paranormal stuff than WW2. Sometimes it seems they play more of that than actual history topics.

Don't know or care much about the technology they're talking about, but if the picture in that article is any indication, there are going to be a LOT of foul ball outs and any hit to center field is going to be a home run. Kinda strange for a ball park.

God help us...each day a Mac and a console sounds more like the way to go... Already have the Mac, but if gaming comes down to having to play consoles then I'd rather just get out of gaming altogether. I just can't do games on consoles.

Bill Gates says West not supplying enough IT talent. Is that his latest excuse for why his company can't come up with anything original?

OK I didn't do too well. 4 tries and I kept getting false start penalties because a sheep would lurch but not dash and I jumped the gun.
