I guess Blue felt that since a lot of us were already discussing his passing that it was superfluous to put the RIP up...
That's not stopped him before.
But enough of this, I still love this site and respect Blue, but was disappointed in this.

I’m pretty disappointed that Blue didn’t post a RIP for Reagan too. I know it’s his site but he’s usually pretty impartial. Shoot he’s posted RIPs for Richard Biggs, Tony Randall, Harry Babbitt and even J.J. Jackson, but not for a former President?

I also am having a blast playing City of Heroes, but don't see this as a 'long term' MMORPG. I mean how long will running through the same looking city streets beating up thugs be fun? (right now it ROCKS, but I'm thinking it'll get old pretty fast.)
I wish it had more depth ala EQ just without the tedium. I'm hoping EQ2 will provide this (here's hoping...) |

I wasn't too interested in this one, but after reading through most of these comments I just might have to pick this up. Here's what I HAVE to have in a MMORPG:
1. Low down time (I don't play to sit ala EQ)
2. Ability to solo if I so desire.
3. Fun factor is high.
Sounds like this game has all these but perhaps not much content (like AC2 maybe?)

It all comes down to the fun factor to me, to heck with realism.
Not only that I've never had much luck with the netcode in BF1942. One game would be great then the next would zoog. I don't have that problem with other games... Go figure. Will that improve with this game??? Dunno...
I just think UT2k4 will be more fun, that Onslaught is WAY fun! |

wrong. I can go from 20-25 in about an hour in Paludal caverns I do remember the XP was extreme in Paludal and don't want to argue with you but I don't remember anything going that fast while I was playing.
I'm glad you enjoy EQ, I just need a faster paced game. |

yeah, cause it takes all of like 5 hours to get from 20 - 30. I don't know what he's smoking but I want some!
Granted I quit EQ over a year ago, but you don't do ANYTHING in EQ in 5 hours much less go up 10 levels. To each there own but IMO there are much better MMORPG's out there but I'm obviously in the minority.
EQ was just WAY too slow paced for me, pretty much a fancy chat board IMHO which just wasn't for me. I just picked up Horizons so we'll see how that is. |

Hey Rigs, don't wish that nasty white stuff on us here in the sunshine state! If you miss it so much take a quick road trip and visit it.
I'm also in Central FL, and don't like the temp to drop below 70, that's why I live here. It got too Freakin COLD last night, below 40F.
Give me scuba diving over snow boarding any day! |

I have to agree with you ZzeusS. Don't get me wrong, I like the game (still) but I just don't see myself playing it for very long.
The combat, especially melee takes little skill (note I didn't say no skill) you basically just circle strafe the guy jumping and clicking like mad till one of you die. This 'could' be sour grapes cus I suck at the melee combat though
Now if you could somehow put the Tribes 2 combat into this game... Drool.
It is REALLY cool that they're adding more content though. I'll be watching!
