Anyhow, these are bad, evil kittens. They're not even that fluffy.
These kittens?
Exactly those.
Never trust kittens. They're the devil's spawn.

LOL. I'd give you a cookie, but not sure your GI tract could handle it right now.

Of course the game is getting rave reviews. It's exactly the type of game that does so: one that pays lip service to classic games while still making the game, ahem, streamlined enough for journalists to understand and finish it. Deus Ex: HR being a recent example.
Now that I'm over 40 with kids, I see nothing wrong with that. However, being over 40 with kids means I'm not going to pay $60 for it either. Putting it on my buy-a-year-from-now-after-I-finish-Skyrim-and-BL2-and-Black-Mesa-and-DE:HR list. ^You and me both. Even undead sorcerers get old and have kids. And those little orcs sure are expensive. |

I'm having waaaaaaaaaay too much playing GW2 to try anything else right now, and had honestly forgotten about this title. Plus, uh, Harvey Smith. But when Metacritic and (especially) Kotaku both light up like this, you have to at least take notice. Sounds like it's pretty great. |

Yeah, I played FFXI for 8 years on and off up until June of this year. Loved it to pieces. But after playing GW2, I'm hooked. The design is so good, there's no way I could ever go back to a more traditional MMO. It would be like going back in time. |

Cliff, we love you. Great games. But please STOP IT with the hair dye.
Also, maybe get a shave and look at the wardrobe (but not so much you turn into a suit).
If you ignore that last part we may forgive on the basis of the original UT demo and Facing Worlds. Or maybe not. |

How do these people not see that when they do this, it just encourages people to wait a year, and get the GOTY edition with everything for $30?
Yep, either that or just don't buy it at all. If significant game content is withheld at release, it is much more productive to look elsewhere. There are plenty of wonderful options on the PC this Fall that don't need that kind of BS to succeed.
Uh, plus it's lolUbisoft. No thanks. |

Verno wrote on Oct 3, 2012, 12:43: I still have an old WRT54G running in the basement. Thing has been rock solid for 6 years. The only problem with Linksys/Cisco is that they love to play model lottery, some slight model variations will have half the memory and etc. The newer Netgear stuff is very hackable and pretty reliable in my experience, I didn't care for their older stuff. D-Link is bottom barrel, lots of hardware issues and their firmware is a disaster. Yep, that's right on the money, I agree with everything you said.
I too have a WRT54G that also still functions - those things never die. They made Linksys' reputation in the household market. |

Steer clear of D-Link. I have a Linksys EA4200 dual-band router and am happy with it. My repeater is by Netgear and is a bit flaky. I'll probably replace it with a Linksys PLWK400 soon.
And yeah, don't buy D-Link. |

I tried a dual-band router to extend coverage in my apartment, but the problem turned out to be a load-bearing wall in the way of the signal. The place is L-shaped and the router is in one end of it.
A repeater seems to have fixed the problem, bouncing the signal around the corner of the L, but the repeater I have (Netgear) isn't that great. Anyone know if Cisco makes a better one? |
