What about winace? its a pretty good program. I remember back in the old days you could do mass zip file extraction via the command line, or was that pkzip? Either way it was when DOS was still alive and kicking. Good old "unzip *.zip"

why not just wait for the game to come out?
its gonna be out before E3 anyways, plus there are plenty of other games to keep you busy until then.

I tried that as well - still no email.

WTF???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No soup for you!

I had no problem applying for the beta, no bugs or anything.
Only problem is that my cpu is a measly 800mhz, hopefully they can look past this transgression and allow me to test the game.

11. Re: Too much lag Nov 1, 2002, 10:52 Pete

Yesterday I played on one server with 900 ping and another with 300.

Odly enough its somewhat playable with 300, but i still have yet to find a server with anything lower.

I was supposed to just try it out for a min or 2, but next thing i know is 1AM, and i have class at 8!

One problem i have with it, the shortcut it creates wont allow me to play the game! It says that you need the custom game (NS) to connect to server. But when start up hl, or DoD then go to custom mod it works just fine.

I hope to god that George Broussard isn't looking for help to finish DNF. At this point they should be squashing all bugs, not adding content. Well actually they should be squashing bugs in DNF:2 or some other project.

12. About fps... Nov 1, 2002, 10:36 Pete

Though they definetly do not teach you how to shoot a gun, they do teach survival tactics and ammo rationing. Like the one bullet headshot dealie.

Don't get me wrong, I think this guy is an idiot but these games do teach you something. But thats what the ratings on the box/cds are for!

But this guy is trying to make parenting a government responsibility, which it should have absolutely no part of.

Hey, where's the Halloween logo?
Here: http://www.bluesnews.com/logos/archives/index-old.shtml

For the old site that is, |2| never made one for the new/current layout.

Looking back, there are a LOT of logos. My favorites are the ones where blues head is made to resemble a game, with actual game characters in the back.

2. Re: Can Blizzard really support a MMORPG? Oct 25, 2002, 16:48 Pete

I think they can support a mmorpg. Though they aren't known for releasing new content for their games (how much new stuff was really in diablo 2 expansion?) I believe they will learn from their mistakes.

One thing that blizzard is known for is good games, and i dont see them dropping the ball here.

If they do, there will allways be Galaxies!
