I was just looking at this game on Steam eariler today. So no multi-player, no steamworks, and has 3rd party DRM. Going to pass on this one.
No one of those things alone is a real deal breaker except mostly the single-player. Just hard for me to shell out $50/60 bucks on single-player only any more. I play the game and finish it. I tell myself I'm going to go back and find all the secrets, or finish it on the highest difficulty level and I don't.
Compare that to dropping $50 bucks on say Quake 3 where you get hundreds of hours and literally years of game play. Call of Duty for instance where you get great single-player to run though once and multi-player all in one.
Single-player only games have to really be over the top for me to purchase anymore, or cheap. Think Dragon Age for over the top, and Mass Effect 1 on sale for $10 on Steam for cheap.
Also I could pick up a great novel for much cheaper and it has the best graphics I can imagine. |

Same here, Steam maxes out my 25MB connection most always unless it's like a new big release during prime time. Probably varies on location. |

Usually they have less DRM, if someday I have to crack them to get them to work I want the boxed copy there to show I own the game, and more to the point PC gaming is "my thing" and I like collecting the packages.
Old school. I can appreciate that. I used to be the same way. Now I use Steam exclusively. If a game is not available on Steam, then I don't own it.
All that space on my bookshelves that used to be wasted on my 'PC Gaming Shrine' now holds much more useful stuff.
Buying a boxed copy of a game is not like it used to be now anyway. It's a very thin plastic case, with a disc or two, and a 2 page manual. Same packaging consoles use, and that's a waste of my time. |

This is the biggest thing to happen to Mac gaming since the release of q3test for Mac. (And q3test was released on Mac before Windows and Linux hehe remember?)

Redownload the games, what FUD are you spreading? Check the forums, it's happened to a lot of people including me.
I re-downloaded 11GB of MW2 after opting-in. I have FiOS so it's no sweat off my ass. It's not the end of the world, fear not! If you have a slow connection, you might want to consider not opting in, just in case it does happens to you. Don't panic you will be fine.
And you are quite welcome for the heads up! |

| Right. It doesn't really matter what they support since the game is crap anyway. Probably good to call them out on it though in case someone making a good game tries to pull this too. |

| Sounds like Steam.....which is not a bad thing. I'd rather have seen it in Steam though then having another 'online persona' on yet another network. |
