I think it's really good. It's very similar to Panzer Corps if you have ever played that. It's a solid turn based game, and being set in the 40K universe makes it pretty interesting. It is a tad pricy, but I don't regret picking it up.

I guess I'm easily impressed as I think that's some of the coolest shit I've seen in awhile. I mean it's not Lithium Q2 rail only, but what is?

It has to be the worst possible time to enter the MOBA market...

I agree. I think entering the MOBA market two years ago was too late much less entering now.

EQ was the best MMO for exactly the reason you just described. Consequence and danger. It was extremely easy to get in over your head and die in EQ, and that fear of death and corpse recovery kept things extremely exciting during group play in dungeons.

IMO, there still isn't an MMO that touches the goodness that is/was EQ. There are merely fisher price rip-offs of it.

They are releasing Velious in August, Kunark -> Vellious was the golden age of EQ IMO so if anyone was on the fence about checking this out now is the time.

Too bad it took them nine months of the first year to figure out it was a F2P game. I wonder how many more players they would have had it been F2P from launch?

It still isn't a free to play game, you need to buy it.

Ah I see the GuildWars model. Well that's a great improvement.

I played closed beta and found it very boring personally. I played EQ1, EQ2, DAOC, etc. so it would really take something extraordinary in MMOs to reel me in.

So it's not you ESO, it's me.

Yeah that's too bad. Ascension rocks and is superior to the first Space Hulk they did, but I still like the first one as well.

Why would anyone still be playing civ III when IV and V are cheaply available and light years better?

For mods possibly.

I would probably like to buy this game on Steam someday, but I don't want to be a backer. I have a couple of these retro RPGs I have already backed and waiting on. Also I currently have a minor backlog of new retro RPGs to play already. If the funding succeeds for this it should be ready just about the time I'm ready to consider playing it. Best of luck!

I was just about to pull the trigger on a pledge until I saw no single-player. Funny as I prefer multi-player normally but my fond memories of this game come from single-player.

I like the Warhammer and Warhammer 40K stuff, but I don't like anything I have every purchased that was developed by Fatshark. As they say on Shark Tank, "...and for that reason I'm out."

It's nice that it's being fixed, but I think if Microsoft put out the exact same announcement they'd be raked over the coals.

It's not an announcement. Linux is not a company. It's just Linus speaking with other devs. Blog sites made it 'news'.

I like the this part "the dev team loves airdrops, and in testing, every time we used one, they were highly contested where the person who actually called in the airdrop had to earn it"

Were they whipping out their wallet each time they tested? Right...

EXACTLY!
