I'm downloading Bioshock: Infinite as we speak, and heard a lot of good things about it. Didn't it sell well enough to keep the team to work on a successor?

Except that this attack would be totally stupid. They're mostly all bad guys in this civil war. Defeat Assad, and the islamists (Taliban, Al Quaeda, and other nutjobs) take over. They're already fighting the FSA, i.e. the rebels that started it all. A military strike would help NOBODY. This is not a good guys vs. bad guy conflict, best to stay out of this.

I believe the idea is that they broke with the Geneva Protocol, and if you don't enforce it, it's useless. The problem in Syria is that both sides are supposedly using it so any strike against one side or the other is just an excuse to give the other side a helping hand. Are these strikes supposed to take out production, storage facilities or delivery means? So far it just sounds like an excuse to attack the Syrian government without specifically addressing the actual problem.

It's also got to do with Russia having a naval base in Tartus, Syria. It's their easy access to the Mediterranean, and the islamists following Assad would most likely throw them out of the country. So it's not about helping one side in the civil war, but about blocking the Russian access to the Mediterranean. It's just another game of global power chess.

It is a more than a small gaming pity that Defense Grid 2 will be a SteamDRM exclusive, it makes it difficult FOR ME to give the developers money.

Fixed it for you. Most people have no problem with Steam, although it is a DRM system, but not a really annoying one.

Yeah, it's like they do a public overkill to get a lot of money quickly.

We still have a ways to go before we have achieved the goal of being completely community funded

How much do they need? $50,000,000? Does anybody know?

Watch the miniseries, then the other seasons. The show is good. Sometimes even VERY good.

Fixed it for you. No need to thank me. Best sci-fi series of this millennium, although some episodes are a bit lame.

So if I get good at this, do you think I can get a job with the Army?

Sure, just shoot everything that moves. The whistleblowers that could tell about it will be court martialed, but nothing will happen to you. The Army is not about witness protection, but about offender protection. Is that in the game, too?

if media violence leads to "the real thing", does e.g. NASCAR on tv lead to the lot of victims killed and hurt by speeding cars? Just asking...

Just in time so they can put a start menu back into Win8/Tiles1. Although I'm very happy with my classic start menu, and I haven't seen the tiles for months now.

Games that come to mind that were way more disappointing:
SWTOR - Haven't played it yet
Dead Space 3 - Haven't played it yet
Dead Island - Played it and it was WAY better than Diablo III: The Auction House!

I know! I'm getting married in October so have no money to get anything until probably next year.

Congratulations! But you should buy the game NOW, because married men usually have to fight and argue to buy the games you want.

She: "Do you REALLY need this? It's a game! Are you a boy, or what? We should rather buy a new couch/fridge..."

He (thinks): "Yeah, or new shoes. LOTS of new shoes, right?"

Just kidding. Best wishes for your marriage, mate!

Oh, and about this expansion: I'm going to buy it. Definitely. This is the ONE expansion announced today that everybody should buy.

Hm... How much should George W. get for lying to the people? That's sort of treason, too, right? And how many have died because of his lies? Could the war in Afghanistan have been kind of won if the troops that he sent to Iraq had fought in Afghanistan, too? Oh, sorry. Only the little guys get hung, right. I forgot. Sorry. At least GWB didn't sleep with a young girl in the oval office. Well, THAT would be a reason for impeachment, right? Right.

Any game description containing the words "collectible card-based" means simply that I will not touch the game even with a ten foot pole. Good luck with this kind of games!
