That's why I say, the question of balkanization within the United States is a matter of when not if with the current political and justice climate and the growing exclusionary divisiveness within its civilian population.

Frankly, "Civil War" just looks completely depressing. I fear how close we are to that reality.

Yes, good. At least in my view. I reserve "epic" for genre defining, or re-defining, standards. Like Black Sabbath's Paranoid for example. How many bands/artists used the Iron Man riff or the double tracked, slightly out of phase guitar chorus from Fairies Wear Boots? Tons. That is an epic album.
I am not throwing shade on Body Count, far from it, by the way.

That's kind of standard for clueless rich egotists. They say "I can take it!" and maybe they even believe that they can in their own mind, but in reality they are as delicate as a flower. I've known Don Lemon my whole life. He's not pulling punches for anyone.

1991, O.G. Original Gangster -- my introduction to rap (other than Rappers' Delight and Blondie's Rapture). Unfortunately, most rap isn't as good as OG was. Still listen to that album on a semi-regular basis. His shout out at the end of the album, "Ya Shoulda Killed Me Last Year" is awesome.
He was also good in Body Count. The first fusion of metal and rap (real rap) that I can remember on the airwaves.

The sun is hot, water is wet,
and nobody cares, 'cause D4 is dead.
(Shakespeare)
Was that from "Hamlet" or was it in "Macbeth"?

BoP, please, be more optimistic. The savior sent by JC himself will be back next year... You know, the biggest hope of the radical Christians because he embodies all of their virtues like honesty, peace, love, and so on...
Yeah, I know, I know...
Gonna go out on a limb here and say you might be barking up the wrong tree...

I'm surprised at how many of you haven't figured out that half the reason that the video game industry is in a crash, is because they incentivized forced diversity at the cost of quality.

You misunderstood my point. Of course, produce Bond games and movies. With the killing and hearts breaking Bond we all know. But you can also produce No One Lives Forever with Cate Archer. And why not invent more and diverse secret agent characters to base entertainment products on? Of course, produce Indiana Jones games and movies. But you can also produce Tomb Raider games and movies with Lara Croft. And how about inventing new "obtainers of rare antiquities"? This is what I meant. More interesting new characters and games and movies and tv series. Those that will work are going to last and those that do not will get sorted out by the buyers/the market.
No, I understand what you're saying. I'm saying that there's no financial incentive to do that stuff, because any money you spend on "New IP No one has ever heard of" is better spent on rehashing something old. There's no reason to take that risk when you've got a valuable existing IP sitting right there that you can retrofit the script or concept you've got into.
"Do both." Sure, it'd be nice if they did that. But consumer spending has shown them that it's better to focus their efforts on rehashing old stuff. So it's the old IPs that get updated for the times, rather than new ones being created.
