Rome and Deadwood are great, but True Blood is the actual surprise imo. That series is by so much superior to that Sparkly-Eyes Vampire crap of Twilight its beyond words.
After all these horrid vampire movies and series i never thought i see a proper mature fantasy "old-lore" series with vampires (and assorted stuff)
Of course it's great, it has Alan Ball. He was all over one of the best movies, American Beauty, and THE best series ever, Six Feet Under. |

oh and holy sheeet a movie based on battleship?! i can almost see the dialogue include classic lines as "B-1, hit!" and "you sank my battleship"
All this movie needs is Samuel L Jackson so he can say "Those MFers sank my MFing battleship!" That might make it an R rating though and I am sure they want all the kiddies to be able to see it. |

I've kicked the router a couple of times, so I may have to do something drastic like call tech support.

I want to take a second and thank you. In a world full of constant change your site has been the one place I can come and get the news I want in an easy to read format. As I am getting older I find change to be very disconcerting. It is very comforting to know I can rely on this site.

But I have a house payment and I just bought a new 55UNC8000 Samsung TV. I wish I could tell him to go to hell. Sorry for my language. I come home today and got drunk. I've been to Vegas one time in August. Short of it being totally free, I'd never reconsider it.
So is that why I am seeing so many cheap Vegas deals right now or is it something else? I don't remember seeing as many in past Summers. |

My kids took me to see Toy Story 3 today. While I loved the first two I didn't think this one would live up to the others. I was wrong! I don't know how they do it but this is just as great as the other two.
However this was the first time I did not like the short before the movie. Maybe I need a second viewing but I did not care for it. Oh and the 3D was not that great. When I go see it again it will be the 2D version. |

Sorry Blue but here in the South it is called tea. Tea here is iced and is the only way you will find it in restaurants. If you go out to eat and ask for tea you get sweet tea. You have to specify unsweet tea if you don't want it sweet. Which my boss from Idaho will confirm. I damn near fell out of the booth laughing when he took a huge drink of some sweet tea. The look on his face. I thought he was gonna spit it out!
