That game was awesome, and it hit the Austin Powers thing years before the movie They made Interstate '82 instead which was horrible from all the reviews. I never personally tried it. I will be buying I76 off GoG.com as SOON as it's available. I have my old CD's but it's a complete bitch to get it to work in Vista. |

| Blue, if you value your life, do NOT ride a bike and have Hudson leashed to yourself/the bike at the same time. My mother did this about 16 years ago and our dog barely weighed 40lbs. Everything was going fine until out of nowhere the dog decided it wanted to go perpendicular to the bike. While only weighing 40lbs, the force was enough to make my mom lose her balance and land face first into hard asphalt. She was knocked out for 10 or 15 seconds. She was wearing a helmet but that didn't help her face and she got a concussion anyway. |

| I don't see how a squirrel could possibly move a piece of cinderblock. Must be a raccoon, dog, or deer. Something like that. |

| I am NOT a fan of the continued link. If a story was "taking up too much space" then i would have just scrolled past it anyway. Clicking another link to see what i DO want to see is annoying at best and leads me to have conspiracy theories on upping ad views at worst. |

| Blue did you get my email last night regarding the ads? You had told me to email you in yesterday's OotB. |

| Blue, due to the switch from UGO i disabled my ad blocker on your site. However, something is wrong with either the ads or the servers "serving" the ads. It now takes upwards of 30 seconds for your page to come up. If i enable ad blocking again it's nearly instant (your page is mostly text after all). |

| And i just bought Mass Effect a couple weeks ago for $20! Damn! Oh well, it was one of the best games I've ever played and considering I've been playing PC games since the mid-80's that's saying a lot. |

Well now all three new ad units are up, so I'm curious if the lowest of the three is just too wide. There are skyscraper ads that are only 160 wide instead of 300, but I thought it would be good to have the ads be the same width, but now I'm worried it's too much, so I;m eager for feedback from anyone willing to provide it.
Well I run at 1920x1200 on a 24" monitor so the extra width doesn't bother me at all. Here's a screenshot of the layout for me (reduced in size to 960 width) http://www.efflixi.net/images/ad01.png
If it stays like this, I won't mind it one bit. |

Pop ups were the only reason I have Blues ads blocked as well. A few months after you went to UGO I got one that I couldn't close and took over your entire site. I had to sit there for 15 seconds before it went away. That was completely unacceptable and since then I've had *ugo* blocked. Since you've removed yourself from that network I'll gladly see normal ads on your site. I know sites like yours exist only on ad revenue, but I will NOT support take over ads. In-line ads are fine with me as long as there aren't 500 of them. I also hate websites that break up their "content" across 20 pages to get more ad views when the content was short enough to have been on 1 or 2 pages. Blues doesn't have that problem though.
I've been coming here for over 10 years and bluesnews.com has been my homepage since I was on Windows 98. If you put t-shirts or some other way to generate revenue for yourself, I'll gladly support you man. |
