Looks like Swat4 is shaping up pretty nicely I have to admit.
Wasn't that impressed by the demo (Could be because VIP was the wrong gameplay type to do a demo with)
But so far it looks pretty nice.

30 bucks for eight missions, a few new multiplayer levels only seven new weapons, and some different game modes. Way to milk us!
come on and release the SDK and let the community start modding instead of these half assed "addons" There are already some incredible maps by the fanbase and everyone has been dying to start modding the weapons. You did it for Ghost Recon why not for Ravenshield?

Yes I too was a little disappointed with the demo it did feel free unpolished. buuut it was still fun to play and this is the only modern flight sim to come out for a long while. I'm really looking forward to the online coop play personally. It's going to be a blast to be able to fly ground attack missions with a friend.

Well it's interesting that they decided to take Falcon4, dust it off and reship it. I guess since Lock On is coming out they wanted in on a little of the revivied modern jet sim market. I still think that Lomac will have a better game though as the Falcon engine dosen't do low level all that well.

Glad to see some major bugs get wiped out. The grenade stuck bug was a big one for me, nothing like trying to flash a room and realize you can't switch to a weapon after.

I dunno about you but if I had one of the best selling games of all time i'd be milking it for all that I could. Sure the hardcore gamers shun the sims now, but little Debbie down the street is going to be buying this new expansion pack with her allowance money.
Simple to play and provides clean entertainment thats what makes it so popular.

I'm glad to hear that Sven is getting full cooperation from Valve.
It was one of the best mods for the original half life adding in co-op. Not enough games have co-op.
i'll be anxiously awaiting the new version

Nice to see the DOD team get picked up like this. It's a very good game.
Kinda too bad though that other mods basically get the shaft. There are other high quality mods for the HL engine that should get a nod, or at least included on a $0.01 cd and throw it in with the retail packages.

All in all yes it probably is going to an announment that Half Life 2 is either
a) Going to start production
b) Has been in secret production and will be shown off @ E3
c) Is going to be released soon.
My guess would be either a or b although a seems more likely.
I'm glad that Valve is *finally* moving along. Yes Half Life was/is a great game, but come on please make something newer so that we can finally let Counterstrike die like it should.

Well I was impressed by the demo they released.
I'm glad they added co-op multiplay into it.
In my opinion every single multiplayer capable game needs co-op.

Yes hopefully it will be able to live up to it's hype. Codename Outbreak was supposed to be good but turned out pretty terrible (Ai ruined the game)
This one is looking pretty but hopefully gameplay will come out on top.

it only costs $23 to make an xbox for microsoft. Chips are cheap and its easy to make shiny greeen plastic.

While another round of price cuts would be nice another $50 would be putting all of them into a near 0 profit margin on them. I think it's a bit of wishful thinking to expect all the console to be next to nothing.
The article states also that if the hardware is cheap shouldn't the software be as well? Hell no thats where the companys will be making the money up. Sure it would be nice to go out and pick up a $99 Xbox or a $50 gamecube. But your still going to be paying the standard $49.99 for the games.

Out of all the games coming soon this is on the top of my list for sure.
I've always loved the Simcity / Populous series and this is shaping up to be an excellent game from what I can see

The terrible terrible Streets of Sim city? I have no idea what Maxis was thinking when they released that abomination.
Simcity 4 is going to be a great game. Maxis has pulled off some excellent (and addictive) games the past few years and this is one i'll be sure to add to my list.
Glorious 3d cities finally!
Ahh I can hear my citizens calling my name in the streets already.
