Dades you may want to check back on what happened with sony as some of the data stolen wasnt even encrypted or secured. This is big difference with Valve.... heh maybe you need to realize this.

I rather try actual demo off something like steam, on which the game is also available. If I am gonna play a demo I rather play it in full quality same as the actual game I would buy. Not a demo in flash through browser, thanks.

The Crysis 2 demo is 1.6GB. With Gaikai I was playing the game about thirty seconds after clicking "play game".

Yes, a lot of people are fine playing watered down lower quality just to see the gameplay itself, I prefer playing the actual real full quality product if I think at all of buying a game. Oh and 1.6GB takes me about 5 minutes to download.

I wish these reviews were categorized by whether its PC, xbox etc... because many of these reviews are based off xbox copy of the game, I am impressed by early reviews but again need more in depth PC copy reviews.

Developer behind this game is unknown and with no track record. As a result I would really hold off, especially when publisher now calls the game as a flexible business model. cough.

Nice try at PR for the game, especially since BF3 is stealing the spotlight, so guys behind CoD try to do something to get noticed at same time. Sorry, no go.

10. Re: Space Marine Exterminatus DLC Released Oct 26, 2011, 13:04 KilrathiAce

Actually Last Stand is quite appealing, but don't take my word for it, the large number of players constantly playing it tells the story. DoW2 Last stand is actually quite deep in terms of strategy and gameplay compared to a lot of other coop games. One thing thats good about Exterminatus is that u can have 4 players and not just 3.

I'm sure they will add terminators in DLC.

There is a nasty bug in the game that prevents you from actually joining the game, you can chat with people who are in game, but you remain in the lobby. It has happened about 6 times on 13 attempts to play for me. That's not a good number.

Wonder if bug like this would happen if this was PC only game like DoW2. My guess is it wouldnt. I will play once they address that bug.

Nope, it's Origin or nothing. It's not awful, but I prefer Steam.

Origin is not why this game is not sold on steam. Reason is EA battle with Valve. There are plenty of games on steam that require 3rd party account or drm and so BF3 could be sold on steam easily and require origin on top of it. If its something EA don't agree on with Valve rules then why dont EA take all their games off steam? Make a statement. Otherwise EA needs to stop blaming Valve and admit to their own agenda.

They already admitted their own agenda. Several months ago they stated the reason for expanding Origin (EA Downloader, now Origin, has been around almost as long as Steam) was because of Valve forcing publishers to sell DLC through Steam rather than allowing them to sell it directly through in-game interfaces. Of course EA could sell the game and future DLC on Steam while still requiring Origin, but why not take advantage of the opportunity to promote their own service with a AAA title? The Origin vs. Steam debate isn't a question of good guy vs. bad guy, it's about marketing and competition, which is perfectly fine.

It's not fine, because steam is quite awesome for periodical and holiday sales, and now EA games are not there. Quite terrible, and if I was Valve I would think twice about this. Game is sold on all other online distributors but steam. Huge letdown for Valve, and in future a killer.

10. Re: Battlefield 3 PC Checklist Oct 25, 2011, 03:08 KilrathiAce

As long as EA is having their battle with Valve and choose not to sell games on steam they can take that checklist and stick it up their butt. Oh and next time EA says they taking PC seriously again how about that latest Tiger Woods fiasco, just when one thought tiger woods series coming back to PC they **** all over PC users with the latest one.
