I was wondering if it was even legal (Geneva Convention-wise) to use 30mm cannons against personnel in combat. I seem to remember a rule or perhaps a blurb in training that said you couldn't use anything larger than 20mm.

Don't you mean "fixing a couple of features and adding a couple of bugs"?
Too funny.

It's actually trivial to enforce. There's these things called "parents", maybe you've heard of them? They're supposed to do things like teach and supervise their children. Yes, they're mythical beasts, but somebody should be able to find them.
Well said, Rob.

I was going into a long post about how stupid this is but gave up. Lets file some more productive lawsuits:
File a complaint against the Haitians for wasting taxpayer dollars with this trash.
File a lawsuit against the parents of every child under the age of 18 who plays this game and then goes out and shoots somebody.
File a lawsuit against Wal-Mart for selling an 'M' rated title to under age kids.

Yeah, but Derek even abuses them. Cut the guy some slack with his own forums, it seems to be the only place on the Internet where people kiss his ass.

What's sad is the total lack of professionalism by dragging this tripe in to his forums and making it public.

But it is becoming very clear he does suffer from mental problems, seriously.
I think he's suffering from delusions of grandeur.
Help for Derek? Maybe when his game gets handed a review similar to the ones that Diakatana got. It's called: Being Humbled.
You would expect someone who takes great pride in his games being 'right' would have a little more respect for his customers, independent release or not.

You obviously didn't read the 31 pages of postings.
I don't have to read the posting, the spray pattern isn't consistant with his story - if it was 'spraying like a jet engine', then why does his wheel have large globs of paint on it, but the door has a fine coat? There is almost no paint on the floor in front or sides of the drivers seat, which means he pulled the paint can out from behind the drivers seat, of which there are no pictures.

Paint all over |

Forget about cleaning the car, I think he'd better work on his story - the paint spray pattern doesn't even support the excuse:
"I bought a spray paint and put it inside the car, but it somehow got caught under the seat. I didn't know so when I adjust the seat it punched a hole on the can and the paint blew out like a jet engine........"
Looks like it started spraying in his hands!

Meatrix? Nice liberal action there blue.
As opposed to what, the current governments stellar action with the food supply?
The current government is allowing food producers and scientists to f*ck with the food supply in ways you can't imagine. Pretty soon everything you eat will be genetically modified in some way.
You can't build a better chicken.

Doom 3 Tick Rates |
Oct 22, 2003, 23:18 |
Tigger |
|

We had a hint of this at Quakecon 2002. After the keynote (I think it was after the keynote) about 20 or 30 of us piled into a room for a little Q and A with John C. I seem to remember him discussing tick rates and how it was going to limit the maximum multiplayer limit. I guess it makes sense that setting a hard limit imposes a relative performance from all machines in multiplayer and probably does something to guarantee a certain level of performance overall.
Doesn't really matter anyway - 60fps is certainly fast enough.
Of course, everytime I say that I feel a little like Bill Gates - "No one will ever need more than 640k"

Maybe I missed something...but isn't Steam "Valve's new way of getting games into your hands ASAP"? If thats the case, why is CZ being released to Steam on the same day that CZ is going to be in stores.

This game sounds like it's going to have the biggest case of scope-creep we'll ever see in a computer game. Which sucks, really, since this game has so much potential.

Ok, now I'm starting to feel old.
