The problem with that gamernode 'article' is its simpleminded attitude. The guy says that he wants more innovation and social context in games, encourages young people to get into the game industry, indie or not, and innovate. That's actually something that most of us here should support, since it would lead to a thriving and competitive games market that explores all the nuances of social relationships that games can make possible (yes, even beyond WoW raiding.)

The fact that this gamernode article makes it into a black-and-white attack on someone who is only trying to foster innovation and grow the borders of gaming is very disappointing.

The protagonist is named 'Aeran Pierce'?? Can it get more Nickelodeon-kids-show than that?

Did I read that right? Creston, who has spent the last 5 years on here bitching about Valve and Steam, swearing off support of any DD system, now playing TF2? What a fickle child.

Good? No such luck. I played the demo about 2-4 months ago. Uninstalled after about 5 minutes of gameplay. Horrible shit.

Cry me a friggin river. Creative makes crap, then gussies up the crap to segment out the market. Creative Crapblaster, Creative Crapblaster Pro, Crapblaster Live, CrapLive x-Fi+, X-Crap-Fi Fatal1ty Pro-Gamer XS.

All crap.

This WoW game sounds nerdier and nerdier. A 'realm' called 'Shadowmoon', huh? Who lives there? My Little Pony?

HellSlayer, who is talking about sex, drugs, or rock and roll? Sex is part of this topic, so that's appropriate. I'm not seeing and drug or rock and roll discussion on this thread.

Yeah, we're tired of Christians, shambling around with their dim-witted conceptions of cosmology, preaching at anyone who wanders near. Wanting your alleged 'Lord' out of the discussion no more affirms Christ's power than your denial of Shiva, the Hindu god, affirms HIS power.

Again, like your fellow Christians, the only way you maintain your nonsensical worldview is through forced false dichotomy. There is a heaven and a hell, huh? You don't know that, any more than you know there is a god, much less a Christian one. You just repeat the dogma because that's what you were brought up to believe, and, like so many things, you've never questioned what you've been raised with. If you'd been born in Bangkok, you'd be worshipping another deity just as mindlessly.

trainwreck, FALSE DICHOTOMY.

1) Sexual morality mitigates disease and unwanted pregnancy? No it doesn't. Social conservatives seek to pretend that sex doesn't exist. Hence abstinence-only sex education. Hence Christian opposition to contraceptives. If you really want to mitigate disease and unwanted pregnancy, then allow people the tools to manage their sexual health -- contraceptives and education. That's the only way. The religious, social conservatives' way is to deny human sexuality and deny education.

2) You don't have to be stoning anyone in public to be sexually repressed. What the fuck does stoning have to do with this anyway? America is sexually repressed because it keeps tighter reign on a bare breast than a bloody gunshot wound, as if sex, the conduit of human reproduction, is worse then violence, the means by which people's lives are taken. That's sexual repression. Your moral relativism ("look, they're worse, so we're not bad at all!") is childish.

No other industry takes 3 years to make something that is marketed directly to the consumer as a dramatic storytelling experience. Oh well.

I'm just wondering whether, at ANY point in the history of video games, gamers actually DIDN'T whine constantly about release dates.

A kid survigves his heart stopping because of medical technology.

They call this a 'miracle from God' -- if God is so keen on the kid, maybe he shouldn't have given him that congenital heart defect in the first place.

What? The Old Testament doesn't apply anymore? Then why do Christians still follow the 10 commandments? That's from the Old Testament.

From the press release: "What truly sets Tribulation Knights apart from other games on the market are its game rules. "

No, what sets this apart from other games is its embrace of nutcase religious doctrine. NO THANKS.
