| I only played for about 4-6 hours or so. Did you end up taking cities over? It looked possible, but I never tried it. I just worked for whomever was nearby. The cities looked very well defended, and I was barely scraping by if I remember correctly. |

| I shall try, just for you nin. I _think_ there's a lot of moderation when building stuff, but it seems like that wouldn't work very well after a few thousand people login. I know your name is random until they accept it. |

I signed up. I sign up for all MMO betas though. The activation email had a typo, though. If you get yours and it doesn't work, try putting Lego's URL in to the URL they send. The seem to have left out their domain. |

| I enjoyed Bioshock 1 and would be buying this if not for the DRM (specifically GfWL). That lowers the price I'll pay for it to $5, so next xmas. |

| Meh, I enjoyed Fear 2. I waited until the xmas sales to buy it though. I think it was $20 or so. Certainly wouldn't pay full price for it. I'd buy the expansion if it dropped in price to $5. |

| Few other items for free if you register at Dr. Pepper. I'm too lazy to look it up though. I think it was 4 items (visors and stuff that add damage, str, things like that). |

I think the game will be a huge short term money maker. After that I think it's going to be in a lot of trouble... (after the first month) There just isn't enough there to keep people interested. So standard Cryptic MMO then. |

Crafting sucks. I haven't checked in live, but just prior to live, every upgrade cost the same items (4 partial assembly and 17 scrap metal). They all did the same thing, too (10% bonus to hp, and +1 to a few other stats). Chest piece, leg piece, etc. Didn't matter, they all did the same thing.
Weapon upgrades sucked even worse. They gave 1 point to your energy pool. That's like having 1 extra bullet in your favorite FPS. Crafting is absolute crap in the normal version of GA. Could be different in AvA, but I don't know. I hear you build dropships and cool shit like that. Too bad none of that spills over to everyone else.
That said, I'm enjoying the game. |
