| Agree with that. The new map in conquest is shit. Way too small. Still, free is free, and I'm glad to have it. Hopefully they get another one out though that isn't so small that a recon can kill you from across the map. |

They've certainly been adding things that should have been there, like the friend's list and ability to repair upgrades. But I've not seen anything added that just screams, "Hey, come back!". Crafting is still almost worthless. It's still the same maps in PvE. There are still no objectives (run to end, kill boss).
Don't get me wrong, the game is fun. For about 10 hours. After that, the repetitiveness kicks in and you're left wondering what to do. |

So they're kinda like non-subscribers.
Level 16 takes maybe 8 - 10 hours, which is what level I am at.
Couldn't select our PvP match type until recently.
Can non-subscribers join agencies or AvA?
I _can_ however use mail and the auction house.
Crafting is lame.
Nobody uses voice chat.
Still, a free trial is a free trial. If you're at all interested, give it a shot. I still fire it up once a week since I enjoy the PvE. Lack of new maps or objectives, however, has made it a bit stale. |

10 comments and not a word about the shitty community both games have? Amazing. I believe it's been compared to, "Worst community in the online universe ever." I've only played HoN, and yeah, it sucks. LoL apparently is bad as well, but not as bad. A word of warning to anyone trying HoN, the Newbie games are not for Newbies. They're for people who are advanced in the game and want to stomp on newbies and then laugh/bitch about them. If you're looking to join a starter game, join one with a 1500 or so rating requirement. Much much better, and less yelling.

I need to reinstall this with the no-cd patch. I wish they'd let me register it on Steam and just download it there (or put it on sale for cheap). I got to the forest area where chicks with green tits were walking around. Formatted the computer and didn't reinstall it. The patching process, if I remember correctly, sucked. So I've yet to do it. I have the DVD sitting on my desk, too, mocking me.
Oh well, I'll be buying #2 through Steam to avoid this problem in the future. Hopefully it's the UK version (hopefully there aren't any censored versions). |

| I liked ME2, but the combat seemed.. meh. It was like, "Run forward, stop and kill group, run forward, stop and kill group". Eventually everywhere you saw a bunch of boxes or walls lined up, you knew a fight was coming. Just seemed predictable. Overall I enjoyed the game though. |

| Also, unless they've changed it, the invites for the beta are in waves. So just because you preorder today (for example), you may not get in for a month. Or you may get in tomorrow. Depends on when their next wave is. |

| I bought a Logitech Extreme Pro or something. No throttle on mine either. Really sucks. I have to use both the joystick and keyboard to fly. I'm hoping that they come out with a profile or something for it, or bug fixes for the throttle problem. |

| Is all that content by subscription only? I haven't played much in the last few weeks, so I'm not sure what's new. I know their first 1.1 patch had a bunch of stuff for non-subscribers also though. |

I've been trying to get stats on myself all morning, and those numbers aren't changing. Is that the official stat site? I'd like to bookmark it if it is, or find out where the numbers are coming from if it isn't.

| I wouldn't mind trying the 3D stuff, but I don't want to buy all new hardware to do it. Maybe someday I'll try it. As a plus the 3D glasses will make me feel like I'm approaching the awesomeness of computers in the movies. |

I went out and bought a joystick last night so I could pilot the helicopters. After I flipped a dozen of them on an empty map, I finally figured out how to fly one. Went to a live server, had my buddy get in with me (his words were, "Oh god, we're so dead"), and was promptly shot out of the sky by the other helicopter pilot. My training didn't prepare me for other people in the air.
Lots of fun. |
