It's been a while since I tried it, but when I did play it a few months ago it was pretty fun. It is very much like Elemental, but a lot of bugs were fixed. It didn't crash every 5 minutes. I will eventually buy it during a Steam sale. Too many games right now though.

Their system is requiring a lot more materials to make items. And some of the materials required are a bit hard to find. Vilas of Blood being one of them.

There's a Charr starting dynamic event that has you guarding some junk metal from an attack. You get wave after wave of attacking bad guys. After the event (about 3 or 4 minutes), I had 5 or 6 Bloods and an almost full inventory of shit to salvage/sell. I highly suggest heading over there and seeing if the event starts.

I'm loving it. I found a "secret" hidden area in Lion's Gate last night that was just awesome (and had pirate booty in it). I hope there's more stuff like that because I totally wasn't expecting it. The world vs. world stuff also reminds me a lot of DAoC, which I miss.

Don't let some of the reviews fool you though. There's still quests. They just moved them to hearts instead. The dynamic stuff is interesting, but still just quests. If you hate MMOs then I doubt GW2 will change your mind. If you enjoy MMOs, though, then GW2 does a lot of stuff right.

And don't let GW1 put you off. GW2 is nothing like GW1.

Well, I knew going in to this that it was going to be horrible port. And they certainly delivered on that front. I haven't tried the HD fix yet. I have a controller, so I may use that. I wish I could use a keyboard, but since the mouse isn't locked to the game, I end up clicking off screen and the game minimizes.

I think I'll let it sit in the oven a bit longer while I play GW2 and hope more mods come out.

I could never get past the last set of levels, when you're on the roof...

Whenever I got stuck, I'd give it to my 5 year old. I don't know how, but he managed to finish the game. Trial and error (dozens of times) appears to be the solution.

Dota2 didn't seem as bad as HoN (community wise), but I've only played that one a few times.

I've seen mine before, but can't find it now. Any idea where it is?

Edit: nevermind, I found it using a tool to search for it.

They say they have other copies of the source code,

Good lord, I should hope so. Can you imagine bringing your one and only copy of the source code to your game to a convention?

Day 1 purchase if they don't include Origin. I know, wishful thinking.

Reddit keeps saying that Valve call any game post-L4D Source 2 and that this could be nothing.

I finished Rage over the weekend (bought it at release). Steam says it took me 12 hours to finish. That's avoiding a bunch of the driving missions since I hate driving games. Not worth full price, which is what I paid, but definitely worth $20, IMO.

I wouldn't mind seeing an expansion, to be honest. Didn't care much for the ending.

Yeah because Hellgate London worked out so well. Oh wait.

Hellgate would have been a lot better had they not screwed up the billing for it, and had it been left to cook for another year to get some more variation in the maps/mobs. The game itself was fun, IMO.

My thoughts exactly. On the other hand, if the game is locked down, can DLC still be added to it before launch? Maybe locked code doesn't count DLC.

"Ghost Recon ONLINE"

Cool, looks like all the corps are starting to make all their games ONLINE only, and using ONLINE term in their titles like it is some buzzword or something.

On the plus side, it makes it easier to avoid them.
