Yes, really enjoyed #1. I'm pretending Thief is Dishonered 1.5. Except with no jump button.

I thought they said somewhere that they were deving for PC first and then porting to consoles to try to not make that mistake again.

If it is a POS port again, I hope the community can patch it like before. I want to play, but am waiting for the PC version. Going to be hard to avoid the console spoilers for a month-ish.

Maybe the time to buy is now while the market is in shock from this.

I thought the same thing. Then I remembered that buying bitcoins with cash is a pain in the ass. Lemme do it through Paypal and I'll buy some.

The Kinect investigation combined with the UK webcam spying reveal adds up to one big "I told you so".

Followed quickly by "wtf do we do now?"

Buy a PS4.

Call me a crusty old grognard, but I prefer 4x games of old where the map is easy to see and use,

You're getting older. Soon all maps will blur together, as will the units, due to your failing eyesight. I'm sorry I have to be the one to tell you, but you're SOL.

Glad to hear it. Been tinkering with the alpha off and on, and something just doesn't feel right. I'm not sure what it is, but it didn't pull me in as I was hoping it would. The videos they release make it look great.

Reviews aren't so great. I was thinking about getting in to the Let's Play thing. I need a sexy voice for it first though.

Banished is a harsh, harsh mistress. We survived the famines. We survived the cold winters with little firewood and ragged clothes. Things were going well until... Old Age. Guess I should have built more houses.

Same thing happened in SLC when Google Fiber was announced in Provo (about 30 min away). My speed doubled about 3 weeks after the announcement. No additional cost. It was followed with email spam proclaiming how great Comcast was and how my blazing fast speed would be all I ever needed.

Google just announced they're trying to come to SLC. I'm hoping I get another speed boost from Comcast until they get here. Maybe they can double it again.

At 4:20, the video shows a green gem looking thing next to the gold icon. I had a feeling they'd have a store, but didn't think there was one yet. Anyone know what that green gem is for?

you want to give Blizzard money for this? LAWL!
Have you no shame? no spine? principle? integrity? please do yourselves a memorable service, and donate $60 to your local charitable organization, instead of fuelling the corporation headed by Bobby Kokedicks. You'll feel so much better about yourselves!

I preordered 2 CE expansion copies to go with my other 2 CE. I may get a 3rd, just because it seems to tick you off for some reason.

I'd be much more interested in seeing how many of those supposed 6 million sales even finished the game and how many people continued to play for how long. I'd suspect there was a massive rate of attrition with this title.

At least we'll have some idea based on how well the expansion sells.

I realize it's the encounters with actual humans that make DayZ the most interesting,

And by most interesting, you mean lamest? Until randomly killing humans at the very least flags someone as potentially dangerous, this game will be on my avoid-like-the-plague list.

3D isn't worth the extra $5 price they want to charge around here. There's no way those cheap-ass glasses cost that much. Hell, let me keep my own pair (or buy a nice pair) and bring them in. Charge me $5 to buy them there, or nothing extra if I have my own. Going to a movie by myself in the morning (when tickets are cheaper) still costs about $22 after I buy a small popcorn and drink. It's only worth it for the top-end movies I really want to see.

I'd like to see an option to filter this to only the games I already own. As it is, it's just another box of sales pitches that I'll ignore.

Edit: There's a "Your Games & Software" link on the page. It doesn't appear to be working, though, since I see updates for games I don't own.

Then there's who's actually going to adopt it. Remember Intel MMX technology? And 64 bit. Man, I was on 64 bit back with XP waiting for all these 64 bit games to arive and they're *just* finally starting to show up now. So even *if* it arrives this year, I wouldn't hold my breath about developers rushing out to adopt their games for it.

The good thing about OR is that if your game uses DirectX, it can be hacked to work in the OR. It's not an ideal experience, but it works. Look at Skyrim or Minecraft. They both work really well. Native support, and a dev that knows the limitations of VR, is definitely the better option. I have to close my eyes during the load screens in HL2 or the floating head cutscenes in Doom 3. These things are minor though.

Looking forward to the reviews on this game. The videos they've released look good. $60 just seems a bit high though unless the reviews are extremely good.
