Same here. I started it a couple weeks ago and played for a few hours. Decided to stop fearing they may wipe/break save games.

There was already one popular mod (forget which) that put popups in the free version asking you to get the paid one every few times you cast a spell. They've removed the free version due to backlash, but fuck them in the ass. I already hate games on my tablet due to all the money-grubbing devs. Oh, you want to play more than 10 minutes? Better cought up some cash.. I mean coins. If that comes to the PC, I'm done.

Bethesda pisses me off lately. I'd like to boycott them, but the next Elder Scrolls / Fallout game is going to make that difficult.

Looks interesting, and I'm glad they got feedback from Roberta and Ken. I'd rather give them the money, though, and not Activision. I miss the old Sierra. Seeing that logo used to give me shivers. Not so much anymore.

I like both Dota2 and this. They scratch different itches. Heroes for a quick match, Dota for a longer one when I have time.

No mouse lag here after turning off v-sync. I'm hoping they fix the damn collectible bug soon though. You can only find one per save/load, and I'm broke as hell on Franklin.

Yeah so their solution was to piss on everyone when EZ-Mode dungeons came out

And yet they're the largest MMO and doing quite well. And Wildstar, your dream MMO to keep the filthy casuals away, has flopped. Go figure. Not everyone has 3+ hours a night to devote to half a raid with a 10% chance at a piece of gear. Vanilla MC was shit. Getting 40 people together was shit. Having shaman gear drop when there were no shamans in the raid was shit. I don't miss it at all.

Never played any GTA game but I'm curious if I could enjoy it... in fact what amaze me is the open world and that we can do about anything anytime but I'm not really into kicking asses and killing people.

I'm in the same boat. I've never played a GTA game. I don't understand the appeal. I watched a stream last night of a guy who had a mission to tow a car from point A to point B. I'm not sure I see where the fun comes from in towing a car (although I did laugh at his poor driving skills).

What makes these games so fun/popular?

Not 100% on the lore, was there a reason JC Denton wasn't brought back for HR? I tried #2 (invisible war) but basically skipped it as it wan't my cup of tea so I don't know if it was explained in it.

Human Revolution was a prequel to the original Deus Ex, where you play as JC. So he didn't exist yet.

Edit: I'm too slow with my replies.

Why would anyone spend 20 dollars to buy a token, when you can spend 15 dollars for 30 days of game time?

Because you want gold, not game time. Game time is the incentive to sell the gold.

Well, guess I know where all my gold is going... At 30k, if you put in some effort, you can make it all back long before account expiry too : )

30k is easy to get with barely any effort. I expect the price to increase to around 50k. You can easily get 2 - 3k per day from the garrison missions if you have 4 or so level 100 alts doing it.

Not sure what you'd spend all the gold on though. I guess you'd buy all BoE gear so you can replace it in a month. Or crazy expensive mounts.

Stuttered here, quite a bit around the middle. Running on a GTX 980 with an i7 and 60 meg connection. No 4k monitor though. I'm wondering what systems are running this smoothly.

Oh thank god. Such a minor thing, but it's going to make me go crazy. I was hoping it'd be in the first patch.

I want a series focused on the Borg (like the ones that split off). Wouldn't really be federation, though.. although I guess it could be if they split from the collective.

I'm such a nerd.

No mention of the caged mouse bug; I hope it's on the list. Every damn time I have a conversation, the mouse is no longer contained in the game. Have to alt-tab out and back in. It's really annoying (although I'm trying to use middle-mouse instead for movement).

Enjoying it otherwise.

I think you're right on the money. This headset will work well for only a few genres: flight sims, racing games, maybe a few first person games specifically designed to work with it.

Horror games and adventure games work very well in it. Anything where you move slowly. I'd love seeing the RPG / Roguelike genre go to town with this. HL2 looks really good as well, but you can tell it wasn't built for it. I think a proper VR HL2/3 would be great. Isometric RTS games would be pretty awesome also. No more zooming in out, just lean forward to view the map closer. So many possibilities beyond "sitting in cockpit" games.

I'm okay with that, so long as VR is developed. Palmer has said the same thing. If Oculus fails and another company succeeds, that's fine. So long as it takes off this time.

Valve seems to be going all in though. That's awesome.

Brink taught me to not buy games that have no real singleplayer campaign. I don't mind an MP match here and there, but multiplayer only games aren't for me. I'm too old. I did get some enjoyment out of it. Just not enough for the full price.

"If You Like RPGs, You Must Play Pillars of Eternity."

Already started it, but I need to see if it saves games to Steam Cloud before I continue here at work. If it does, I won't get anything done today. If not, I'll wait until I get home later. Don't want two campaigns going. Going to check at lunch to see if it does.

I buy the book thing (the Compendium) for the free goodies. I also watch the finals. Don't know the teams well enough to care who wins, but they're very good and fun to watch. Looking forward to it.
