Seriously, I didn't buy anything that wasn't on sale. Crazy/stupid how much they mark stuff down and it totaly fits my "not current with the trends" style. oh man i relate to that last bit.
Loosely translated means "I think I'm about to be ill. And I've located one of your most prized possessions, and I'm currently standing riiiiiiight over it." hilarious nin. and entirely accurate.

dm_rebar_b6: http://www.thevon.net/dm_rebar_b6.zip (really for 16 players i think but it could be fun still)
dm_lostvillage: http://members.home.nl/grom/dm_lostvillage.rar
dm_kasasu: dropped from rotation (yeah the graphics are smelly puke, but the gameplay man, the gameplay.)
complicity: the only way i frag myself more than reloading is pausing to take a swill of brew or coke
thanks to everyone for joining and to pitiful for the idea. Best of luck with the mapping contest. btw, why didn't you think of this sooner?! we look forward to your reply

You'd be suprised how many decent wines you can find in the $10 range. I've yet to find a wine compelling enough to get me to spend more than $20-$30 for a bottle. Man is that ever true! We have a joint here called "The Wine Club" (thewineclub.com) - a no frills place with lots of cheap wines and a pay-tasting area (the only way i've been able to try bottles of wine out ofmy price range).

It was very slow DL the map in the game.... definitely. slow for me too even when my ping is in the 20s/30s and i up my rate. Maybe its a Steam/authenication issue as UT2004 simply has blazing download speeds for me.

Do you know if they are going to be bumping up your upstream bandwidth too? i wish. its where many ISPs make a chunk of their livelihood, so i believe its going to stay at 384...should know very soon.

Where is your server Elvis? Southern California, Torrance. FYI RoadRunner is updating their network from 3 to 5 Mbits, so hiccups may occur.
10-15 second freezes have never happened to me in HL2DM, even on Euro servers when my ping is >150. I suggest dabbling with your rate: bring down the console and type rate <value> - try 10000 if you're on broadband. also, try net_graph 1 (i think) at the console too - displays a handy network info window in the bottom right. you can resize it too: see here for more net_graph commands (and many others)
http://www.hl2world.com/wiki/index.php/Half_Life_2_Client_Console_Commands
pitiful, complicity and i (and some other non-blues'ers) were on today - mucho fun. finally something to really replace Q3, and hosting is easy peasy.

slow HL2 DM download speeds |

running custom maps which means having to d/l them at the beginning of every level at 0.08Mbps true, HL2DM does not seem to possess the screaming d/l speeds that UT24K does (maybe THIS is the Q1 code still in HL2 that John C recently referenced? You can always google the map after seeing what's playing in the steam server listing. I've some links for fast map links, but not with me at the moment. see you online, e.
p.s. i look forward to finding out just how hard you are to frag!

MS will adopt the same scheme of the homeland security department and we'll have "orange" flaws.
Soon we'll need phrases like "Super Critical" and "Ultra Critical." |

just because a program "isn't supported", that doesn't mean you have to stop using it if it already works well. no doubt ... Been on Winamp 2.91 for a while now. And just found a cool new radio station that streams soundtracks (streamingsoundtracks.com). Who knew the music from Rambo 3 could be so interesting. Its also the only station that didn't buffer out when the line was busy with other traffic.
Happy Bday Frans - now tell us what good stuff you received

Check Outpost2 v1.1 mod. Great single player pack that lasted me about 2-3 hours! http://farcry.filefront.com/file/Outpost22_V11;29193 Thanks for the tip Ant. I played through quite a few HL1 (and even some UT) single-player mods; with Far Cry's awesome visuals and such, I'm looking forward to exploring SP there too.
As far as MP, HL2DM has me hooked, and I tend to play what I can host
