They can serve more ads when they use multiple pages.

They aren't stupid.

Wow, sounds like Sony is doing their best to use all their divisions against Microsoft. I'm still signing up for Netflix. I guess I just won't watch Sony movies.

My point is that the way you use staff can indicate the manner that you are using it:

Well-trained and well-compensated staff are required to facilitate good servicing.

A well-trained and well-compensated staff is required to facilitate good servicing.

You can't really switch is and are in those sentences.

It is a singular entity in this case, but there are cases when it is not. For example:

Well-trained and well-compensated staff are required to facilitate good servicing.

Well, like I mentioned before, it was working for me on my Blackberry at 9 AM. Which is before you made the change. But others were having trouble after that, so I don't know what was the cause/solution.

It still seems to be working fine for me on my Blackberry.

Its working now on my blackberry. It must have been an early hiccup in the server.

The formatting could use a little more thought though.

Blue,

If you are that concerned about viruses, why don't you run Ubuntu for your work machine? You can easily install and test it in Windows with Wubi. If your job requires you to be that exposed, you should considered a safer environment.

Personally, I run Ubuntu in a VirtualBox on my windows machine. Very easy to setup quickly. Everything just works.

This is hilarious. Where is Riley/>U now that his precious Monolith is releasing their game on Steam? Or has he changed his name yet again?

Yay! Back to the "take 5 steps, quick save, take 5 steps, quick save" gameplay. I love it.

Also known as the "quick save, firefight, oops too much damage, reload, firefight, oops too much damage, reload, ad infinitum" gameplay. I'm looking forward to it.

Stardock said the exact same thing, and no one cried over it.

In fact, they encouraged the industry to make products targeting the paying customers. This is why they can make products without DRM.

True true, Jedi Outcast was a great game, especially with the lightsaber.

News Comments > Wright's Spore Hype
24. Re: No subject Sep 5, 2008, 13:17 Fang

It sounds like this game isn't made for those "hardcore" gamers.

But isn't that Stardock's point? Don't make games for the crowd most likely to pirate? If they happen to enjoy your game, great for them, but focus on your paying customers.

So I'm not surprised its being panned by us "gamers". It's unfortunate for those of us who have similar tastes in games as the pirate crowd.

News Comments > Spore Sales Prediction
7. Re: Predication? Sep 3, 2008, 11:35 Fang

Naw, they designed online to be an integral part of the single player game.

Otherwise they would be predicting 250,000 sales... (and an additional 1.75 million pirates).

More seriously, anyone remember Stardock's article about why they don't include DRM and how they are still successful precisely because their target audience is not those who are more likely to pirate?

Well, Crytek built a game for the audience that is more likely to pirate, so you should expect their piracy numbers to be really really high. Spore's intended audience is more like Stardock's.

People claim that piracy will be the death of PC gaming. Actually, it will more likely be the downgrading of "hardcore" PC gaming, as more developers follow Stardock's example and advice.

At that price, I'm thinking about picking up a second Xbox, so I don't have to lug it back and forth from my living room on my 1st floor to my HDTV in my home office on my 3rd floor.

Even the wired controller would be useful since I'd get a controller to be used on a PC.

I'd just have to carry my harddrive back and forth.

Dyack: Too Human could last 'fifty to eighty hours'.

Wow, I'll be sure to avoid that game. I don't have that kind of time to invest in one game.
