Only reason i would want a faster patch is to get rid of MAV glitching and the famas / heavy barrel, grip imbalance issue ^^ The mav glitching "fix" may not even make it into the patch, or so I've read. |

I am also in the extreme minority however. :/
Out of curiosity, what did people not like about it? Or was it more of a "another shooter" thing and people just couldn't get any interest going in it? Where to start, for the multiplayer just about everything felt more like something you would expect from a free mod. Poor sounds, animations and graphics. The idea of being able to "buy" vehicles only if you kill a bunch of people meant that lesser capable people wouldn't get access to them till very late in the game if at all - but even then they were throw away and damn near useless because the maps were so small. They had a squad system of sorts but it was complete crap so the team aspect took a huge dump.
Everyone looked to Kaos to come out with a "battlefield" killer since they made Desert Combat but it seems either due to lead game designers having a massive ego problem or they're just that stupid they can't seem to replicate even the simplest of things that Battlefield 2 brought to the table. |

Finland should sue Microsoft for stealing their flag, or the inversion of it.
actually it's a direct copy of Shetland Islands’ flag. |

Played it during a free trial weekend, it just didn't have the polish of a commercial game. It was also a bit too British for my taste, the poor quality voice acting didn't help.
It might have seen some improvements since I played it though. |

Just saved myself time and bandwidth by watching the "demo" gameplay video on youtube.
maybe if I ever get around to finishing the first two I'll give this a shot, by then it'll be $5 |

Verno wrote on Feb 14, 2012, 13:09: Doesn't matter if anyone is surprised or not, it's shitty behavior that's frustrating regardless of how expected it should be. It's especially annoying considering it seemed like they were getting it a few months ago when we were getting regular twitter dev updates from Demize and co, now we're back to square one. They do this with every Battlefield game, once it's released they reassign the core people who made the game to other projects and hand it off to a "support group" which usually consists of just a few people.
There's no way for these people to comprehend the inner workings of a game as complex as this, they make patches and usually break things that seemingly have no correlation to each other.
One thing that DICE did though was take the beta testing of patches away from a group called combat testers which was made up of dedicated gamers and handed it off to a testing facility EA set up in Romania. The quality control has suffered as a result, to say the least.
This is just a punkbuster issue that will get sorted out, if it hasn't already. The "big" patch is the one that will probably royally screw the game. |

I've never played World of Warcraft a day in my life.

This graphic tweak really helps make the games graphics not look like ass.

The difference between the default muddy/blurry graphics and the sharper effect offered with this mini mod is night and day.
I was never a huge Diablo fan but it seems like they made changes to the way Diablo II was setup just for the sake of trying to be "different". Why piss in the soup and not just serve up the same soup with slightly better looking visuals.
