| People were saying it was only 5 hours long on here or something, glad to hear it's got some decent playtime to it. It'll probably take me 20+ to finish it. |

A nun was strip-searched, he wrote, after an arrest for trespassing during an antiwar demonstration. WTF?! I wonder if they would strip search a muslim woman if she were arrested wearing a burka. |

Beamer wrote on Apr 4, 2012, 14:25: Virtually any flight sim is dead. Don't know about that.
DCS has an impressive roster of combat flight sims, a-10 is amazing. Rise of Flight for WWI flight combat, X-Plane for "regular" flight sim. World of Planes is looking good. BIS take on Helicopters. IL2 series, even Cliffs of Dover is still being worked on.
It's just not as mainstream as other games but there's plenty of flight sim action on the PC if you just poke around a bit. |

hmm seems like it would have been a good mix to have some first person shooter elements mixed into the multiplayer, only the single player missions have FPS action.
multiplayer is just vehicular RTS hybrid first person/third person action combat.

Japan has already universally decided to pull the plug on nuclear power, Germany too.
Radioactivity may be diluted in the oceans but the real threat to the eco-system seems to be plastic, recommend watching the documentary "Bag it" |

Maybe I haven't figured out the new loudout system but everything feels nerfed, they really neutered the USAS. The engineer assault rifles have no reach to them at all. The suppression effect is cranked to 9000 causing your screen to blur out and take way too long to return to focus.
It's really sad that DICE won't allow community testing of patches anymore, they used to use Combat Testing (combattesting.com) which at least allowed actual gamers to test patches but now they rely on some Romanian testing outfit that EA setup. |

Creston It's a stupid survey, many people have ipods. I even own one but I have no intention of ever owning a macbook or ipad.
I wouldn't have even bought the ipod if it weren't for the fact that I can use it without going through itunes to put music on it. |

Didn't they offer a "pay to unlock" scheme for Bad Company 2, thought they did - on consoles at least.
I wonder if they fixed the MAV thing with this version of the patch, probably not. |

They have that one week exclusive deal with PS3 for new DLC releases - patches too apparently.
You would think they would want to release on the PC first as a beta test for the console platforms. It doesn't cost them money other than bandwidth like it does on consoles.

You know that MAV riding "exploit" that was suppose to be patched out?
Confirmed
Standing on the MAV it doesn't move
Lying down on it however and off you go up into the air Now they have an excuse to withhold releasing the patch on the PC and Xbox for another four months.
I always lay down on the thing when using it as an elevator. |

Here's a blast from the past, go play original Dungeon Master on the PC then play this game.

Finally, after many years, I got my hands on the binary executable for the game. I wrote a disassembler to turn it into human-readable op-codes and proceeded to translate it to C++ using the Microsoft Version 6.0 C++ compiler. Eight hours a day for six months. About 120,000 lines of pseudo-assembly language. Crazy thing to do. But it works. I can't imagine the dedication it took to make this conversion. |
