90% of that is just stupid skins, but still pretty lame.

never played through any of the expansions from the first one, the main campaign was just so-so.

Everyone looks like someone, I doubt they ripped off her likeness on purpose as Naughty Dog is a pretty reputable studio.

really? because I thought that ellen page even did the voice work for the game, to me it sounded a lot like her and looked just like her too.

Ecuador just rose to the top of the "axis of evil" nations list.

I wish the guy luck but he's got many sleepless nights ahead of him, most likely for the rest of his life.

Microsoft is screwing up on all fronts when it comes to consumer devices, the tablet, phone and now console devices they're putting out are doomed to being second and third tier options.

The kind of things that if you see a friend using you feel sorry for them being so stupid for buying it, most likely without asking your opinion before doing so.

and if that Steam article is accurate we may get to share our game library soon.

You mean select titles from the library (probably from indies mostly at first) since there is absolutely no fucking way that all of the big publishers have given Valve a general thumbs up on sharing.

either way, it's more than we have now. they could also implement a "share X" game weekend where you could play a game from your friends library only for a short time.

I've grown to like not needing a disc in a drive to play a game.

PC wins out again.

and if that Steam article is accurate we may get to share our game library soon.

I was waiting for this news. The very day after the console was announced Microsoft started backtracking. Apparently no longer immune to universal disdain.

Microsoft dismisses Xbox One online requirements and used-game fees as 'potential scenarios'

Now all they have to do is offer a Kinect-free version for $100 less and it would be a decent option.

It's still slightly underpowered compared to the PS4 hardware and costs $10 more for online multiplayer support.

Microsoft done goofed it up.

I haven't been keeping up with the graphics card wars but isn't AMD generally a better buy over Nvidia right now?

Where everyone else will see failure, Microsoft will spin it to make it seem like they're happy with the sales numbers.

The only thing left for Sony to do is announce that PS4 is backwards compatible with xbox 360 games.

The only thing sony needs to do is not piss people off by implementing things like cloud saves only for their games like The Last of Us did until it was patched - oops.

There are other considerations when allowing mod support these days, they don't want their game associated with say someone making a map of a school or a Boston bombing simulator.

They need to make the retail version 1080p otherwise developers will be needing to support both resolutions and I imagine the lower res screens won't be around for very long.

The early adopters already pulled the trigger, the rest of us are waiting for 1080p.

I don't really care that it's turned into a $100 game with the season pass, I get a ton of playtime out of Battlefield.

Not even close to the dollar per hour cost of entertainment for the likes of playing golf.

I'm pretty sure they only allowed that on a few PS3 games, like Unreal Tournament 3 maybe?

I would say the answer to that question is no you won't.

Where do I preorder?

The only way they could screw this up for me anyway is to make it 3rd person only.

Yes, the PC has this restriction, but it also tons of distinct advantages.

not arguing which platform is better just pointing out that on the PC we have mostly more restrictive DRM in the form of Steam and put up with it.

Triple A games release on the PC for the same price as they do on consoles, there's rebates on pre-orders for both platforms to varying degrees.

Console gamers on Xbox are willing to pay the extra monthly fee just to play multiplayer so they're more than willing to put up with extra B.S. for that convenience and ease of use.

Publishers have obviously gotten sick of not being able to control release dates down to the second like they can on the PC, thus the activation requirement will now properly block new games from being played early - just like on the PC.

They also know that people are gremlins and will eventually crack the consoles copy protection, 24 hour connection requirement will make this more difficult because by the time an exploit is known they can already be pushing an update to the console to block it out.

The main game publishers are on board with this 100% so if Sony decides to not have a similar system in place I wouldn't doubt there will be up to a one month or more delay between games coming out for xbox one and PS4.

I expect Sony to say it's up to the publishers just like MS has said.
