Read that the Bioshock movie got scrapped because the director wanted an R rating. I guess the studio never bothered to see that the game was M rated.

They have a login authentication system similar to Steam that will only allow logins to computers you designate. It's off by default, just go to the Origin -> Account and Privacy -> Security and enable "Login Verification".

I don't see how anyone would be able to purchase a game key through Origin, you would have to take over the whole account. I'm not aware of any "gifting" system through Origin. Perhaps console game purchases spits out a key?

I think most "moral crusaders" (less, but still douchey version of the term SWJ) on here would say that the developers of Hatred can make their game all the like, but to distribute it on the biggest digital platform the PC has to offer... that's just going to create shitstorm of bad publicity for the industry.

Hatred has every right to made, but I don't think it should be easily promoted.

It's like releasing Cannibal Holocaust to major theatres and glorifying it's content

The whole point of the Greenlight system was to get the community involved, and so the community have spoken.

deal with it. Sunny

The main problem is they think it's just fine to spec out tablets with horrible stats besides the screen and battery thinking that you'll do everything online and just stream everything to your screen?

Even with tablets that have microsd card slots in many cases you can't install apps to that storage device.

People will download and play the game just to see what all they fuss is about, just like all the sheeple who just had to watch that retarded movie "The Interview".

The only reason this is really getting any attention is because the trailer made the game look like it was produced by a AAA studio, unlike most indie games - thanks Unreal Engine 4.

I'm not sure if they can actually make a game of any length with their apparent lack of wanting to put a backstory or most likely any story into the game. Killing civilians and cops in a GTA game can be amusing but quickly gets pretty boring.

I probably would have slammed quarters into that if it were an 80's arcade game, reminds me of Battlezone and the Star Trek arcade game.

The Star Wars Holiday Special was exceptionally bad but it did introduce us to one of the coolest characters in the movie franchise, Boba Fett. I'd still rate it higher than the prequel junk he made.

None of the maps in this game are conducive to sniping.

Most games have some sort of online component, and I understand you can't play anything on a console until you download the latest firmware and updates.

Yeah, I haven't bought anything this time either. So much unplayed stuff in my queue.

Wreckfest is on sale though. It's EA, but looks pretty good. Anyone play it?

Huh, Wreckfest isn't EA it's essentially a new version of Flatout by Bugbear.

trailer was meh.

#1) i'll never understand people who put 1000 hours into MP, and never touch SP, aka all of my friends. They'll say how bored they are and wish there were new maps, i'll casually point out that there's the other HALF of the content this game has in SP, and they'll laugh, like that is the most crazy thing anyone could think of doing.

#2) anyone who hasn't yet seen it, look for the hardline trailer where community members got to play a new game mode and were allowed to film it, pretty sure the usual suspects, matimio, lvlcap etc. have footage. in short it looked like conquest where cars were the flags. it felt more like GTA than well... GTA? this looks like a killer competitive mode.

Bad Company 2 had the most "open" single player campaign where you had a little freedom to explore maps and felt slightly sandbox on some levels. The ones since have been trying too hard to be "cinematic". I do wish some of the levels from the single player campaign made it into the multiplayer portion, I don't know why they don't do that as it would seem to be a pretty easy thing to do.

2015 is going to be the year for cops n robbers themed games with this and GTA V - although only 4 player coop for GTA.

How much crap are they going to get from the "press" for showing cops as a militarized force?

Meanwhile GTA V gets a free pass even with their Heist multiplayer mode.

Still doesn't have head tracking support but it does look like they've toned down the JJ Abrams effects - no more bright shining lights (along with over the top lens flare effect) on the canopy blinding you.

If the government really had internet customers interests in mind then they would hold all of these ISP's to task over not fulfilling the mandate set forth in the 1996 telecommunications act.

4. Re: Respawn on Titanfall on Origin vs. Steam Dec 19, 2014, 20:53 DangerDog

No proper single player, massive bloat with "uncompressed audio", filling up small maps with bots to try to hide the lower player count, unimpressive amount gadgets and weapons to pick from, selling multiplayer maps as DLC or a seasonpass - which very few purchased and those that did never got to play because of the lack of players, no dedicated servers.

I don't think Origin killed it, even if it were on Steam it would have died a quick death just like other games have, Brink anyone?
