| I thought EA was going to bring Origin to the Wii-U, maybe they're just delaying the release of crysis 3 till they have that working? |

Quboid wrote on Jan 7, 2013, 18:17: I got Arma2:CO in the Christmas sales - what is up with the mouse movement? There seems to be mouse deceleration, the faster I try to turn the slower my character turns.
I know it's not a twitch shooter but if this is for realism then it's seriously misguided. You can still turn unrealistically fast by cranking up the sensitivity.
It's hard to put my finger on it but mouse handling seems deeply flawed. Is this just me? Have you tried turning "aiming deadzone" all the way down? options->game options>aiming deadzone
turns off the "float" feeling you might be talking about. |

I'm glad they're not just repacking the day z mod with the existing arma II tech for a quick cash in.
sucks that they still haven't freed those two devs |

I have a feeling that this is the way Valve intends to deliver content to their linux console. They're going to use this technology to roll their own gaikai / onlive service for steam users.
If it gave instant access to all the games in your library without needing to download and install them locally, they would really put the hurt on all the other cloud gaming businesses. |

Would be cool - maybe, if it didn't render the server computer useless for any other task.
I would rather have a device like this that hooks up to a TV, and also supports media streaming when not being used to play games. |

mac version milestone reached, not sure if that's a good thing or not.
perhaps they'll have to work exclusively with opengl instead of directx. |

Windows 8 just doesn't bring enough features to warrant upgrading from 7.
It doesn't help matters that you need to use 3rd party add-ons to bring back classic start menu to the desktop. |

Despite there being so many attempts at making sci-fi space sims none have managed to capture the essence of the original Elite. Hopefully this actually gets produced, I'm looking forward to playing it.

I can't blame Ridley for going forward and making prometheus, he probably though things would work themselves out in pre-production or something. Alien was fairly different in its conception form before they committed to actually making it.
It just didn't work out this time. Just shows that it's difficult to capture lightning in the bottle that Alien turned out to be.

The lack of apps was going to be Microsofts achilles heel going into the tablet market, releasing an ARM processor based tablet was the number one stupidest move they could make.
Should have been an x86 based tablet, cut costs somewhere else - or sell it at a loss. Win people over to the dark side with their crappy 'modern UI' apps over time.
meanwhile at least you could actually use the device as a functional computer.

and there goes Microsoft Surface Pro, straight into the bargain discount bin.
The Windows RT Surface isn't even worth its weight in recyclable materials. |

Is it too late to replace the aliens with velociraptors?
I'd love to play a game like Trespasser with graphics like that, minus all the ubersoldier nano bullshit. |

Elite Dangerous is going to be a close one, I think it'll make it's goal though if there's a burst of backers towards the end.
The cheap seats are opening up as some people move to higher tiers of the kickstarter. It fluctuates between showing the 20 quid option being sold out to having some available. |
